Ben Mezrich (born February 7, 1969) is an American author from Princeton, New Jersey.
Personal life
Mezrich was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Molli Newman, a lawyer, and Dr. Reuben Mezrich, a chairman of radiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He was raised in a conservative Jewish household and attended Princeton Day School, in Princeton, New Jersey. He graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Social Studies from Harvard University in 1991. Some of his books have been written under the pseudonym Holden Scott. He is known for his non-fiction books.
Mezrich is best known for his first non-fiction work, Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six MIT Students Who Took Vegas for Millions. This book tells the story of a group of students from MIT who bet on blackjack games using a sophisticated card counting system, earning millions of dollars at casinos in Las Vegas and other gambling centers in the United States and the Caribbean. The story was made into the movie 21, released in 2008. Despite being categorised as non-fiction many of the characters in Bringing Down the House are composite characters and some of the events described have been contested by the people the characters are based on.
"Seven Wonders" is a song by Fleetwood Mac. It was released as the second single from the band's 1987 album Tango in the Night.
Stevie Nicks performed the lead vocals on this song, which was written by Sandy Stewart with contributed lyrics by Stevie Nicks. While listening to the demo by Stewart (who did not provide any written lyrics), Nicks misunderstood the phrase "All the way down you held the line" as "All the way down to Emmeline", which is what she sang. Nicks also added an ambiguous word, sounding like "Sara" or "Tara", during the breaks between choruses and verses. (The word may refer to Nicks' song "Sara", on Fleetwood Mac's 1979 album Tusk, or even to another Nicks composition on Tango in the Night, "Welcome to the Room... Sara"; the lyrics to the latter song include references to Scarlett O'Hara and Tara, and Nicks has used the name "Sara" several times in the past as a pseudonym for herself.) Some fans have also speculated that she may be saying "Aaron" rather than "Sara" or "Tara." The title of the demo by Sandy Stewart was reportedly called "Aaron."
These additions as well as various other changes to the lyrics, led to Nicks' credit as co-writer of the song.
Babylon (𒆍𒀭𒊏𒆠Akkadian:Bābili or Babilim; Arabic:بابل, Bābil) was a significant city in ancient Mesopotamia, in the fertile plain between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. The city was built upon the Euphrates and divided in equal parts along its left and right banks, with steep embankments to contain the river's seasonal floods. Babylon was originally a small SemiticAkkadian city dating from the period of the Akkadian Empire c. 2300 BC.
The town attained independence as part of a small city state with the rise of the First Amorite Babylonian Dynasty in 1894BC. Claiming to be the successor of the more ancient Sumero-Akkadian city of Eridu, Babylon eclipsed Nippur as the "holy city" of Mesopotamia around the time Amorite king Hammurabi created the first short lived Babylonian Empire in the 18th century BC. Babylon grew and South Mesopotamia came to be known as Babylonia.
Backyard Babies are a rock band from Nässjö, Sweden. The band was formed in 1987 and over the years they have released six studio albums and won a Swedish Grammy. The band is now located in Stockholm, Sweden.
Formed in 1987, Backyard Babies originally consisted of singer/bassist Tobbe (Tobias Fischer), guitarist Dregen, guitarist Johan Blomqvist, and drummer Peder Carlsson. They were then called Tyrant and played several live shows in their local area and recorded a rough demo. Tobbe was soon replaced by frontman Nicke Borg on vocals and guitar, and Blomqvist switched to bass. Fischer went on to be a professional photographer and web designer in Stockholm, continuing to work occasionally with his old band mates .
Babylon is the fourteenth studio album by American heavy metal band W.A.S.P., released on November 9, 2009. The album was inspired by biblical visions of "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse". The album contains covers of Deep Purple's Burn (originally recorded for W.A.S.P's previous album Dominator, but not used for unknown reasons) and Chuck Berry's Promised Land. Promised Land was also covered in 1973 by Elvis Presley, and it was Elvis' version that the band had in mind as demonstrated by the ending comment "How about one of them peanut butter & banana sandwiches."

wiki: The Hanging Gardens of Babylon were one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World as listed by Hellenic culture, described as a remarkable feat of engineering with an ascending series of tiered gardens containing a wide variety of trees, shrubs, and vines, resembling a large green mountain constructed of mud bricks, and said to have been built in the ancient city of Babylon, near present-day Hillah, Babil province, in Iraq. Its name is derived from the Greek word kremastós , which has a broader meaning than the modern English word "hanging" and refers to trees being planted on a raised structure such as a terrace

About: As their name would suggest, they were likely built in the ancient city of Babylon, which is now part of Iraq. When tracing the engineering feat of these gardens back to their time of existence, it becomes hard to find any concrete evidence of any aspect of their creation. The only aspect of these gardens that has survived over the years is that of myth, which has lead many to think that they never existed. There are rumors that these expansive gardens were built by Nebuchadnezzar II for his wife Amytis, which stand at the core of the myth of the gardens.
