Anthony "Tony" Moran is a two-time Grammy nominated remixer/producer/singer-songwriter and DJ known for remixing popular songs. In 2007, he hit number one on the U.S.BillboardHot Dance Club Play chart twice with "Walk Away" featuring Kristine W and "Keep Your Body Working" featuring Martha Wash. As a remix producer Moran has worked with top dance/pop artists including Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Neyo, and many others. Other singles as a solo artist is the dance anthem "If I Was Your Boyfriend" performed with Anastacia, and his most recent hit, "Free People", his second hit with Martha Wash, went to number one on the US dance chart.
Career
Moran began his career back in 1981, when he and friend, Albert Cabrera, teamed up. Together they were "The Latin Rascals", whose re-edited versions of hit songs spliced together enjoyed major air-play on New Yorkdance radio WKTU's popular mix show. The radio exposure led to a deal from Shakedown Studios who hired the duo to restructure popular hit radio songs into viable dance club hits. Shortly thereafter, they were contracted by another studio, Fever Records, to write and produce a song for one of their new acts, The Cover Girls. The result was Show Me, a song that not only became Tony Moran's first Top 40 gold record, but also helped to usher in the freestyle era of music. This opened the doors for new artists including TKA, Sa-Fire ("Boy, I've Been Told"), and Lisette Melendez ("Together Forever"), all of whom benefited from the skillful hands of Moran and Cabrera.
Tony Moran (born August 14, 1957) is an American actor and producer. He is remembered for playing the unmasked Michael Myers in the 1978 horror classic Halloween. Since then he has gone on to make guest appearances in television series The Waltons and CHiPs. He is the older brother of actress Erin Moran of Happy Days fame, and actor John Moran.
Career
Halloween
Tony Moran was a struggling actor before he got the role of Michael Myers in Halloween. At the time he had a job on Hollywood and Vine dressed up as Frankenstein. Moran had the same agent as his sister, Erin, who played Joanie Cunningham on Happy Days. When Moran went to audition for the role of Michael Myers in 1978, he met for an interview with director John Carpenter and producer Irwin Yablans. He later got a call back and was told he had got the part.
Moran was paid $250 for his appearance in Halloween and decided not to return for any of the sequels, although he was paid for his appearance at the beginning of Halloween II, which was a recap of the first film.
The Radical Therapist was a journal that emerged in the early 1970s in the context of the counter-culture and the radical U.S. antiwar movement. It was an "alternate journal" in the mental health field that published 12 issues between 1970 and 1972, and "voiced pointed criticisms of psychiatrists during this period". It was run by a group of psychiatrists and activists who believed that mental illness was best treated by social change, not behaviour modification. Their motto was "Therapy means social, political and personal change, not adjustment".
Background
In the 1960s, a movement developed to challenge many principals of psychiatry and dispute the mental health system as a successful humanitarian enterprise. The challenge came from Ernest Becker, Erving Goffman, R.D. Laing, Thomas Scheff, and Thomas Szasz. Their writings, along with articles in the journal The Radical Therapist, were given the umbrella label anti-psychiatry despite wide divergences in philosophy. This critical literature, with an associated left-wing activist movement, "emphasized the hegemony of medical model psychiatry, its spurious sources of authority, its mystification of human problems, and the more oppressive practices of the mental health system, such as involuntary hospitalisation, drugging, and electroshock".

Tony Moran ft Kimberly Smith You're Good For Me Tony S Soulbeats and Mike Lorello PNP Videomix
I’m lucky to have had the great DJ Tony (“Soulbeats”) Smith contribute his wonderful Club remix in the House Music genre to – “You’re Good For Me” from Tony Moran and his label Mr. TanMan Music … astonishingly performed by Kimberly Davis.
Grateful for the help of gifted engineer and musician, Mike Lorello + all the (outstanding!) DJ/Remixers who helped the song become a Billboard #1 Dance Club track, with mastering of the tracks by Orlando Fussalva of deepinfluencemusic.com and promotion by the phenomenal @BobbyShaw.
Video by Patty Nieto-Rodriguez of C-Rod, Inc./Rosemine Group in Miami with additional editing/graphics support of the entire project from Paul Norman of PNP VideoMix and from Phll McKenna.
