Colin James Hay (born 29 June 1953) is a Scottish Australian musician and actor who made his mark during the 1980s as lead vocalist of the Australian band Men at Work, and later as a solo artist. Hay's music has been frequently used by actor and director Zach Braff in his work, subsequently leading to a career rebirth in the mid-2000s.
Early life
Hay was born in Kilwinning, North Ayrshire, Scotland, but emigrated to Australia with his family at age 14 in 1967.
Career
Men at Work
In 1978, Hay met Ron Strykert and the men began playing acoustic music as a duo. Hay and Strykert formed the core of the band Men at Work, with Hay on vocals, guitar and keyboards, and Strykert, on guitar, vocals and bass guitar. Hay and Strykert added Jerry Speiser (drums), John Rees (bass guitar and backing vocals) and Greg Ham (flute, saxophone, keyboards, vocals). The group released their debut album Business as Usual in 1981.
In 1982, the success of Men at Work and their albums Business as Usual and Cargo prompted Hay to relocate to Los Angeles. He settled in the Topanga region of the city and has resided in the USA since and in January of 2016 became a U.S. citizen .
"Pure Love" is a song recorded by American country music singer Ronnie Milsap. It was released in March 1974 as the first single and title track from the album Pure Love. The song was Milsap's first No. 1 hit on the BillboardHot Country Singles chart in the late spring of the year. Although Milsap had two previous top 15 hits—"I Hate You" and "That Girl Who Waits on Tables," both 1973—"Pure Love" is largely credited as being his career-breaking hit.
The song also marked the first country chart-topping single by its writer, Eddie Rabbitt, who had tasted previous success with 1970's "Kentucky Rain" by Elvis Presley. In the song, Rabbitt compares "pure love" to such things as milk, honey and the Cap'n Crunch breakfast cereal, before pointing out that the love shared between the protagonist and his/her object of affection is "99 44⁄100 percent pure" (borrowing from the old Ivory soap advertising slogan).
Rabbitt would later record the song as the B-side to his 1975 single "Forgive and Forget".
"100% Pure Love" is a 1994 single recorded by house musician Crystal Waters. It reached #11 on the Billboard Hot 100, #1 on the Hot Dance Club Play Chart, #38 on the U.S. R&B chart, and #15 in the UK. The single spent a total of 45 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming one of the longest charting singles in the U.S. to date. The song won Waters a billboard award for, "Top-Selling Hot Dance Music Club Play Single for " at the 1994 Billboard Music Awards. The song was certified Gold in the United States. The music video directed by Marcus Nispel and choreographed by Michael K. Williams (who later went on to star as Omar Little on The Wire) was nominated for Best Dance Video on The 1994 MTV Video Music Awards

Don't wait up For her tonight Cause she won't be coming home Don't wake up Till it gets light By then she'll be long gone A restless heart has set it's sail She can feel the waves washing over She knows what life with you entails You love her strength you despise your weakness Don't wait up For her tonight Cause she won't be coming home Don't wake up Till it gets light The dogs are scratching at the door Your jealous heart has won the day You can feel the darkness creeping over She paid the man and sailed away
