The mountain goat (Oreamnos americanus), also known as the Rocky Mountain goat, is a large hoofed mammal endemic to North America. A subalpine to alpine species, it is a sure-footed climber commonly seen on cliffs and ice.
Despite its vernacular name, it is not a member of Capra, the genus that includes all other goats, such as the wild goat, Capra aegagrus, from which the domestic goat is derived.
The mountain goat is an even-toed ungulate of the order Artiodactyla and the family Bovidae that includes antelopes, gazelles, and cattle. It belongs to the subfamily Caprinae (goat-antelopes), along with 32 other species including true goats, sheep, the chamois, and the muskox. The mountain goat is the only species in the genus Oreamnos. The name Oreamnos is derived from the Greek term oros (stem ore-) "mountain" (or, alternatively, oreas "mountain nymph") and the word amnos "lamb".
Both billy (male) and nanny (female) mountain goats have beards, short tails, and long black horns, 15–28 cm (5.9–11.0 in) in length, which contain yearly growth rings. They are protected from the elements by their woolly white double coats. The fine, dense wool of their undercoats is covered by an outer layer of longer, hollow hairs. Mountain goats molt in spring by rubbing against rocks and trees, with the adult billies shedding their extra wool first and the pregnant nannies shedding last. Their coats help them to withstand winter temperatures as low as −50 °F (−46 °C) and winds of up to 100 mph (160 km/h).

Today we will talk about climbing, but not in the way you imagine it. Let's talk about the climbing that goats do. Yes, you heard it right. Today we’ll take a closer look at Alpine ibex, which are the true natural climbers. Their innate skills allow them to tread where few others would dare. #Animal_World#

Every climber knows that mountains are unforgiving. You have to move along the rocks very slowly, with a bunch of precautions so that, God forbid, you do not fall into the abyss, splashing your brains over the stones. Apparently, no one told the mountain goats about this. That is why they jump on steep cliffs as if on level ground, as if gravity had no effect on them. Mountain goats are divided into three groups: ibex, goats and tours. The difference between them is mainly in the structure of the horns. Mountain goats are closely related to mountain rams, with which they have many similarities. However, mountain rams avoid steep cliffs, and live on smooth slopes, at an altitude of 2200 to 3500 meters above sea level. Their more distant relatives are snow goats, chamois and gorals. Catch a lucky break try to make it last
Rig a blanket curtain up between the present and the past
Play my lucky number for most of what they're worth
Lie about my age right down to my last day on this earth
Set you sights on good fortune, concentrate
Pull back the hammer, try to hold the gun straight
Hit the gym each night
Stay cool and seldom speak
Keep the heart of a champion
Never let them see you're weak
And whatever they say on your page three mention
Focus on the parts that make you feel good
Be grateful for the attention
Set your sights on good fortune, concentrate
Pull back the hammer, try to hold the gun straight
Try to hold the gun straight and true and steady
Let the frame find you when the cameraman's ready
Work until I drop drift from place to place
Ehrenfeld, Pennsylvania, scratched into my face
Set your sights on good fortune, concentrate
Pull back the hammer, try to hold the gun straight
