Pisa - A day trip to #pisa #italy #Travel_with_Rajes #4k #italytour #city #wonder #travelling #like
In this video, I am visiting Pisa leaning tower. It is jus a day trip from Lucca.
Pisa is one of the most famous cities in Tuscany. Being less than 1 hour away from Florence, the city is a must-stop on your Italian itinerary. Once a major seaport, nowadays Pisa is known for its Leaning Tower.
However, this lovely city has a lot more to offer. Many tourists are surprised to see that the Leaning Tower is just a part of a huge religious complex. Right next to the Tower, you’ll find an impressive cathedral and baptistery.

But the biggest Mediterranean Island Sicily is also famous for its amazing Greek, Roman and Norman heritage. On the foothills of the Alps is another beautiful lake with some of the most romantic and picturesque sceneries in the world, Lake Como. Rolling Tuscan hills are home to a spectacular medieval skyline of San Gimignano. Siena is another Tuscan town, a true embodiment of a medieval city and Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance. There are also two amazing coastlines, Amalfi and Cinque Terre. Of course no list of Italy can be complete without world famous Pisa. Here is also the capital city of Italy, Rome, the Vatican City and amazing Venice.

Witness the architectural marvel that has stood the test of time - the Colosseum. This historic landmark in Rome, Italy, continues to captivate visitors with its grandeur and rich history. As you stand in awe of this ancient amphitheater, it's hard not to be overwhelmed by its sheer size and intricate design. The Colosseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheater, was built between 70-80 AD and has since become a symbol of Roman engineering excellence.
With its distinctive circular shape and towering walls, the Colosseum was an architectural feat ahead of its time. It once hosted gladiatorial contests, mock sea battles, and theatrical performances, attracting thousands of spectators. Today, it stands as a testament to the ingenuity and craftsmanship of the ancient Romans.
Immerse yourself in the history of this iconic structure and there adjoining ruins called the Roman Forum. This Forum is there very place from where Emperors like Julius Cesar, Augustus and Constantine have ruled over one of the largest empires in the history for more than 800 years. The Colosseum and the Roman Forum are not just a tourist attraction; it's a window into the past, offering a glimpse into the grandeur and spectacle of ancient Rome.
Completed in 1626, Saint Peters Basilica in the Vatican City, is a superb creation of Michelangelo. You cannot but admire the sheer size of everything placed inside the Basilica and despite the massive size, the sublime beauty. No second thought. It is one of the most beautiful buildings in the world.
The Vatican City is the smallest country in the world. It is a small City state within Rome, but with its own airport, post office, car registration, (It had its own currency Vatican Lira. Now Vatican may be accepting the EURO).
Adjoining the Basilica are the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. The museum has great collections of painting and sculptures. The Sistine Chapel ceiling has been done by Michelangelo. But photography is forbidden in this chapel.
Rome has several other points of interest. The Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Bourghese Gallery and several beautiful gardens.
Stay in Rome: Hostels @ Euro 30 are cheap for solo travellers and backpackers. Guest house rooms start @ Euro 55. Hotels cost more. We stayed at Hotel Milani @ Euro180 due to its Great location! 5 minutes walk from the Central Roma Termini train station. It’s quite close to the Colosseum and Roman Forum, only a few stops by the Metro to the Colosseum metro station. There are lots of food options including Pizzaria/ Mediterranean/ McD fastfood/ Indian/ Bengali cuisine in the vicinity.
FLORENCE
It was the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance It was politically, economically, and culturally one of the most important cities in Europe and the world from the 14th to 16th centuries. Florentine money- the gold Florin financed the development of industry all over Europe.
The Medici family of Florence who also owned a Bank, evolved as one of the most powerful families in Europe. Apart from their political, religious ( Two Popes were from Medici Family) and financial clout, Medici family also patronised art and artists in a great way. Most of the valuable and vast works of art at Uffizi gallery are the personal collections of Medici family.
Gallery Academia is the other Gallery where several major sculptures of Michelangelo are exhibited. It has David- his best creation, 4 Slaves, the Unfinished Pieta.
The Duomo, the Florence Cathedral is a beautiful building with exquisite exterior. It also has a nice museum. The Cathedral built in 13th century is older than the new St Peters Basilica of Rome.
Budget tips: Book your flight tickets and tour tickets well in advance to get the cheapest rates. Hostels are reasonable for stay. If you have strong legs, Try to walk and save on transport. Take one full meal and one fastfood. It will save money. Tap water in Europe is drinking water. Dont spend on bottled water. Carry a good pair of shoes. A good jacket if you travel October onwards.

Alright so Florence Pugh’s latest movie The Wonder is now on Netflix, and no wonder you clicked this because this psychological drama is a heck of a weird period piece. But in this video we’re going to break down the story, explain that ending, the fourth wall breaks, our reaction and review, along with touching on some themes and messages cleverly tucked away in The Wonder.
Now if you enjoy the video, then hit that like button as it helps the channel, and allows me to go one more day without food, ehhh I’m fasting here, and also don’t forget to subscribe for breakdowns, recaps, and other videos like this everyday.
With that out of the way, a huge thank you for clicking this, I’m your host Jared, now let’s get into the video.
Alright so a quick set up of the plot reveals Mrs. Elizabeth Wright, played by Florence Pugh, is a nurse from England, who has been called to the secluded Irish countryside in 1862, nearly a decade after the great famine. In doing so she, along with a nun, have been hired by a committee of elders in the town to investigate a unique situation... A young girl named Anna, who seemingly hasn’t eaten anything in nearly 4 months.
This oddity, some might even say a miracle, is at the center of the film. Why hasn’t she eaten? Does she not have to? Is she a plant, and solely lives off of Chlorophyll now. “More like Boreaphyll….right?” With the elders calling in a nurse and a nun, it is this interesting dynamic between science and religion, essentially one’s beliefs. What do you BELIEVE is actually happening with this young girl, what story are you going to take to heart?
Now this whole idea of belief is what almost everything in The Wonder is centered around. Hell, even the opening, breaking the fourth wall moment, the narrator tells us this is a movie. To believe in the characters' stories with complete devotion. We are nothing without stories, and we invite you to believe in this one… Believe me, pun intended, but I was instantly confused by why they were showing the behind the scenes workings of film production with this ethereal music. However it instantly grabs you, allowing you to believe in what you want about this, everyone has a story.
