Julia Fordham (born 10 August 1962) is a British singer-songwriter. Her professional career started in the early 1980s, under the name "Jules Fordham", as a backing singer for Mari Wilson and Kim Wilde, before signing a recording contract of her own later that decade. Fordham is now based in California.
Career
In 1988, Fordham released her first album on Circa Records, simply titled Julia Fordham. JULIA FORDHAM Magic
A magical Monday with a track called 'Magic' by the sublime British singer/songwriter Julia Fordham. I first discovered this beautiful vocalist in 1989 and her eponymous self titled LP. More than 30 years later, Julia is one of the most beloved singers in my collection; having amassed all of her albums; however hard to find here in Australia. I've also written to her and her management who have always been delightful to correspond with. Julia is another of those voices like Mica Paris that should have taken the world by storm and become a household name, but didn't. 'Magic' is a rework of her 1997 composition and track from her 'East West' album - here, issued on her 2018 album also titled 'Magic'. Julia's extraordinary voice is still in great form more than 30 years on in her career - l...

I totally adored you I would have stuck by you Through thick and thin I would have let you Touch my pure and Discerning skin I almost fell in love with The man you almost are I almost stopped myself From falling in too far Can I just say You have done a foolish thing You walked away From all the good My solid love could bring Now I hear you're hanging round With some mousey girl From some small town Foolish thing Foolish thing Your friends warned me about you They said you were more trouble Than you're worth They said you couldn't give me All that I deserve chorus
