Pros and Cons is an American television series that ran on ABC in the USA in 1991–1992. It is a revamped version of Gabriel's Fire, which aired on ABC the previous season.
Overview
Gabriel Bird is a former Chicago police officer, who, over twenty years prior, had been wrongfully sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of a fellow officer. He was exonerated and subsequently became a Chicago private detective (as seen on Gabriel's Fire). Bird then moves to Los Angeles, where he teams up with another private eye, Mitch O'Hannon. Bird also marries his love interest, Josephine, She had been the proprietress of a café where Bird had begun frequenting shortly after his release, at first for her good, homestyle cooking, but soon, primarily for her companionship.
The episode "Birds Gotta Fly", directed by Mario Van Peebles, starred Irene Cara as Bird's estranged daughter Celine, as well as movie and TV personality Michael Beach as Josephine's military-bound son, and Meagan Good in a small role.
"Netherlands" literally means "lower countries", influenced by its low land and flat geography, with only about 50% of its land exceeding one metre above sea level. Most of the areas below sea level are man-made. Since the late 16th century, large areas (polders) have been reclaimed from the sea and lakes, amounting to nearly 17% of the country's current land mass.
The 1979 European election was the first direct election to the European Parliament to be held and hence the first time the Netherlands had voted. Four parties were able to win seats: the conservative liberal VVD, the progressive liberal D66, the Christian-democratic CDA and the social-democratic Labour Party. Five other nationally represented parties compete but are unable to win seats. 58.1% of the Dutch population turned out on election day.

Below is a complete list of members of the European Parliament for the period 1979-1984 as a result of this election.

Dutch political parties
The 1984 European election was the second European election to be held. In these elections both an alliance of leftwing CPN, PSP and PPR parties (Green Progressive Accord) and the orthodox Protestant SGP, GPV, RPF parties have formed a successful common lists, which win two respectively one seat. the progressive liberal D'66 loses its two seats and disappears from the parliament. 50.9% of the Dutch population turned out on election day.
The four parts of the Kingdom–Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten and the Netherlands–are constituent countries (landen in Dutch) and participate on a basis of equality as partners in the Kingdom. In practice, however, most of the Kingdom affairs are administered by the Netherlands – which comprises roughly 98% of the Kingdom's land area and population – on behalf of the entire Kingdom. Consequently, the countries of Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint Maarten are dependent on the Netherlands for matters like foreign policy and defence, although they are autonomous to a certain degree with their own parliaments.
The vast majority in land area of the constituent country of the Netherlands (as well as the Kingdom) is located in Europe, with the exception of the Caribbean Netherlands: its three special municipalities (Bonaire, Saba, and Sint Eustatius) that are located in the Caribbean. The constituent countries of Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint Maarten are located in the Caribbean as well.
What are the pros and cons of living in The Netherlands? It doesn't matter whether you're relocating for business, education, or just because you want a change of scenery; moving to a new nation may be stressful for a lot of people. Therefore, before to deciding to live in Holland, you have to take into consideration a variety of variables, including the cost of living, the community, the school system, the level of safety, the availability of employment, and the environment. According to the third rule of Newton, which states that "every act has an equal and opposing response," living in the Netherlands has both positive and negative aspects to it.
Consider all of the perks of living in the Netherlands, then make a final decision about making the move there.

The Dark Side of Living in The Netherlands
What are the downsides of living in the Netherlands? There is a wide variety of advantages that come along with relocating to the Netherlands. The Netherlands is well-known for having some of the highest tax rates in the world, and almost everything is subject to taxation.
PROS:
1. High Quality Education
The World Economic Forum places the Netherlands at the third spot on its list of countries with the highest levels of education. It is estimated that around 81% of persons between the ages of 25 and 64 have finished at least their upper secondary school, which is greater than the average for the OECD, which is 79%. If you are relocating with your children, you do not need to worry about their education since pupils continue to gain knowledge and the capacity to read and write, as well as research, mathematics, scientific, economic, and social skills. If you are relocating with your kids, you are already safe and secure. In addition, the school system in the Netherlands promotes you to grow in your chosen field of work.
2. Healthcare
Having health insurance is a legal requirement in the Netherlands, and residents are expected to comply. As a result of the relatively high cost of the compulsory monthly payment for health insurance, a great number of individuals are unsatisfied with it. However, this is a significant perk of living in the Netherlands as a Dutch citizen: you will never have to spend a significant amount of money out of pocket to obtain medical assistance. This is a government benefit. Some people get the impression that they are throwing their money away since they don't need medical attention too often. However, once they reach the point where they need medical attention, they will get it.
3. A Low Rate of Crime
The Netherlands was classified as the 21st safest nation in the world according to the World's Safest Country ranking for the year 2021. However, your safety is not completely assured no matter where you go since you run the risk of becoming a victim of small crimes such as pickpocketing. When travelling to a new country, safety is a valid worry for everyone, but it is particularly important for households with kids and women who are traveling alone. The Netherlands are a rather risk-free destination. However, you should stay away from places with a high crime rate and adopt the appropriate safety measures. Taking sensible measures, such as securing your home and vehicle behind you when you leave, installing a burglar alarm, and so on.
4. It’s Small and Easy to Get Around
Because the Netherlands is not a very huge country, getting around to its many cities is not difficult. There is an abundance of public transit options obtainable in every given location, including railroads, buses, trolleys, and metros.

What are the downsides of living in the Netherlands? There is a wide variety of advantages that come along with relocating to the Netherlands. The Netherlands is a country that has a lot to offer everybody, whether they are searching for a higher standard of life, more work prospects, or a location to live that is cheaper. Let's not sugarcoat things and have an honest conversation about some of the challenges you could face if you decide to relocate to the Netherlands.
1. It’s an expensive country
The Netherlands is well-known for having some of the highest tax rates in the world, and almost everything is subject to taxation. The income tax is particularly high in contrast to those of other countries in Europe. You could also discover that the prices of electronic goods are higher in the Netherlands (here's a pro tip: shop on the German Amazon), and that the prices of some foods are also a little bit more. On the other hand, it is possible to acquire some excellent prices if you have learned how to shop and where to shop. The relationship between supply and demand is to blame for the typically high cost of rent throughout the whole of the United States. Jobs, in general, pay very well here; yet, in the end, it all comes down to how you look at it.
2. You have to learn a new language
Even though most Dutch people are aware of this fact, conversational English is not sufficient. You are going to need to educate yourself in Dutch since the majority of the labels, notices, goods, and parcels are all in Dutch. You are going to have to utilize Google Translate whenever you go to public locations like the grocery or railway stations until you master the local language.
It is well known that the service sector in the Netherlands is notorious for being less helpful and more difficult to navigate than in other nations. Even if someone has been downright impolite to us extremely seldom, the Dutch aren't exactly famed for their ability to provide good customer service.
You are either going to have to wait an eternity to speak to the manager, you are going to be in a line of 25 people on the phone, or you are going to have to wait weeks for a response to an email. Not to mention the level of frustration that a good number of individuals experience whenever they are confronted with tasks such as receiving mail or shipments.
3. Accommodation
Insane housing shortages are plaguing the Netherlands at the moment. As a result, it is essential to do apartment hunting in advance of relocating to this location for permanent residence. There are both furnished and unfurnished apartments available to choose. The furnished homes come with very huge rent prices. When you rent a property that isn't equipped, you may think you're getting a good deal, but in reality, you have to buy everything, even rugs and appliances that are necessary. In addition, property owners are reaping the benefits of the housing shortage by charging their renters unreasonable prices.
Due to the unfortunate state of affairs in the housing market in the Netherlands, it is essential that you begin your search for a new place to call home at the earliest possible date. Bear in mind that there are no assurances that you will locate a location right away; yet, you should not give up hope!
If you want to live in Amsterdam or one of the other cities in the Randstad, you need be extremely patient in your hunt for a new house, and you should prepare for a little bit of more wiggle space in your budget.

PROS:

[ VERSE 1: J. Sands ] Yo, what I need for you to do is just listen Open up your ears cause what you hear is mint condition Type shit that you bump when you be out on a mission Bendin city blocks in a Range or Expedition, or whatever you're pushin If you're trekin get a walkman and some headphones with cushion J. Rawls, what you think, some of these rappers are douchin? (Yeeaaah!) Cause they actin real sweet with the glamor and glitz Soft to? hardrocks when the camera clicks Test me, then you and your whole fam'll get ripped See, I'm not the DJ, but still the man in the mix Easily handle this quick, then testify to the Most High I didn't mean to do it but my temperature's blew it Suckers put up fronts but yo, I see right through it Like H2O fluid in a glass container So when it's all said and done there will be one remainder (The Lone Catalysts) zuong! while you're in a hanger 33 000 feet above, get enough love You know why, you know why? [ CHORUS (2x) ] Because everywhere we go people seem to know The the Lone Catalysts will rock the show Make all the ladies say (aaaw!) fellas say (hooo!) Then collect the dough cause we are the pros [ VERSE 2: J. Sands ] The Lone Catalysts, professionals at this I mean, the rhymes, the loops, the snares, the kicks Ain't no joke, baby paw, this is as good as it gets A lotta y'all with the raps and beats just seem to miss Like you ain't tryin hard e-nough to be part of The most elite, you can't compete, so why bother? Swimmin with the sharks when you can barely thread the water? This is the pros, you're amateur, not a starter You need to take time out To properly learn how to spit your rhyme out I mean seriously, du Can't you see that this industry is all about loot? So if you're comin with the wack you'll never recoup And that doesn't make sense, to not make sense When you're supplyin the demand with the rhymes you invent It's simplistic, but don't get it twisted Cause you still gotta know the logistics or you'll just be a statistic At home snack up on a two piece and a bisquit? My point: you're findin? in case you missed it [ CHORUS ] [ VERSE 3: J. Sands ] One time for your mind, two times for your body Three times for your soul, fourth time I take control With my man J. Rawls about to break the mold Under pressure never fold cause the hand that we hold Is laced tight with the trump that makes you bump-bump Don't front, cause suckers look chump right from the jump When they act like they want to battle against the monk Usually they probably drunk or feelin it from the skunk It's a sobering effect once we snap that neck like Erick and Parrish Even your peeps will be embarrassed So why you wan test against a strong guest Who you know gon' bless the East Columbus Style, we originated strictly from this Way I lay my vocals to his drum kicks With one swift paragraph I enlist You and yours to explore with the Catalysts [ CHORUS ] (*ad libs*) Lone Catalysts J. Sands and Rawls is how we do Professionals
