The Eurovision Song Contest 2012 was the 57th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. The contest took place in the city of Baku, Azerbaijan, following Ell & Nikki's victory at the 2011 contest with the song "Running Scared"—marking the first time that the country had won the contest. The contest was held at the newly constructed Baku Crystal Hall, with semi-finals held on 22 and 24 May 2012, followed by the final held on 26 May 2012. Forty-two countries competed in the contest, with Montenegro returning for the first time since 2009, and the withdrawal of Armenia due to security concerns in relation to ongoing conflicts with Azerbaijan over the Nagorno-Karabakh region, and Poland due to financial concerns.
The contest was won by singer Loreen from Sweden with the song "Euphoria"—written by Thomas G:son and Peter Boström, the song scored a total of 372 points. Russia finished in second place, with Serbia finishing in third. They were followed by the host country, Azerbaijan, which reached the 4th place. Albania finished 5th, achieving its first top 5 placing. Germany, Italy and Spain were the three members of the "Big Five" that managed to rank within the top 10, finishing in 8th, 9th and 10th places respectively.
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012 was the tenth edition of the contest. It took place at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam, Netherlands on 1 December 2012. Dutch broadcaster AVRO was the host broadcaster for the event. For the second time the Netherlands will host the contest, after hosting the contest in 2007 in Rotterdam. The motto for the contest was "Break The Ice".
The show was hosted by Ewout Genemans and Kim-Lian van der Meij. The show was opened with the song Euphoria from Loreen performed by Rachel. The song Break the Ice by Kim-Lian van der Meij which was specially written for this contest and the 2009 winner Ralf Mackenbach performed also. Twelve countries took part in the contest, making it the smallest number of countries participating in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest history, and equalling the number of countries participated in the 1970 Eurovision Song Contest held at RAI Congrescentrum. Israel, Albania and Azerbaijan made their debuts at the Junior Contest. Whilst nine countries from the previous edition continued their participation in the contest, four countries have withdrew: Lithuania, Bulgaria, Latvia and Macedonia. The contest was won by Anastasiya Petryk for Ukraine with the song "Nebo". This is Ukraine's first Junior Eurovision victory and second Eurovision victory since Ruslana won in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul. Ukraine's winning margin of 35 points was also a record.
The Eurovision Song Contest 1960 was the fifth edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It was held on Tuesday 29 March 1960 in London. Although the Netherlands had won the contest in 1959, the Netherlands Television Foundation declined to host another contest so soon after staging the event in 1958. The honour of hosting the contest therefore passed to the United Kingdom, which had come second in 1959. Therefore, the BBC chose Catherine Boyle (as she was then known) to be the mistress of ceremonies at the contest for the first time. France's win this year was their second in the contest. The contest was won by France with the song "Tom Pillibi", performed by Jacqueline Boyer.
Location
The 1960 Eurovision Song Contest was hosted in London. The Royal Festival Hall, the venue for the 1960 contest, is a 2,900-seat concert, dance and talks venue within Southbank Centre in London. It is situated on the South Bank of the River Thames, not far from Hungerford Bridge.
The contest was won by Norway's Alexander Rybak with his self-penned "Fairytale", which received a record-breaking 387 points out of 492, at the time the highest total score in the history of the contest and with a margin of 169 points over the second place which went to Iceland. Third place went to Azerbaijan, fourth to Turkey, and the United Kingdom taking 5th, seeing their best placing since 2002.
After criticism of the voting system after the 2007 Contest, changes in the voting procedure were made with the re-introduction of a national jury alongside televoting while the format of the semi-finals remained the same. Forty-two countries participated in the contest; Slovakia announced that it would return to the contest, while San Marino withdrew due to financial issues. Latvia and Georgia originally announced their intention to withdraw, but it was later stated by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) that both countries would indeed participate. However, Georgia later decided to withdraw after the EBU rejected its selected song as being a breach of contest rules.
The Eurovision Song Contest 1966 was the 11th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It was held on 5 March 1966 in Luxembourg, Luxembourg, following the country's win at the previous 1965 edition. The host venue was Grand Auditorium de RTL in Villa Louvigny. The presenter was Josiane Chen.
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010 was the eighth edition of Junior Eurovision Song Contest and took place in Minsk, Belarus. It was held on 20 November 2010.
The contest was won by Vladimir Arzumanyan of Armenia with the song Mama. This gave Armenia its first Junior Eurovision victory and its first victory in any Eurovision contest.
Location
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) invited broadcasters to bid for the rights to host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010. Belarus broadcaster National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus (BRTC) won the rights to organise the contest over bids from Russia and Malta. Under construction through 2009, the 15,000-spectator Minsk Arena hosted the event. Belarus has twice previously won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which is, according to EBU Executive Supervisor Svante Stockselius, "one of Belarus' most popular television shows."
Visual design
The theme art for the contest was revealed on 8 April 2010, consisting of multi-coloured circles, symbolising "different people, cultures and countries," that form the shape of wings, that symbolise "freedom, ease of flying, creative inspiration and rising above."
On 8 September, the mascots of the show were presented, being a bear and a wisent.
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 was the 12th annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and took place, for the first time, in Malta. This was the third time that the contest was hosted by the previous year's winning country. Maltese national broadcaster PBS was the host broadcaster for the event. The final took place on 15 November 2014 and was in the Malta Shipbuilding in Marsa, near Valletta. Moira Delia, a Maltese television personality, hosted the show, marking the first time in Junior Eurovision history that there was only one presenter of the show.

Why,
Why can't this moment last forever more
Tonight,
Tonight eternity's an open door
No
Don't ever stop doing the things you do
Don't go
In every breath I take I'm breathing you
Euphoria
Forever, ‘til the end of time
From now on, only you and I
We’re going u-u-u-u-u-u-up
Euphoria
An everlasting piece of art
A beating love within my heart
We’re going u-u-u-u-u-u-up
We are here
We are alone in our own universe
We are free
Where everything's aloud and love comes first
Forever and ever together
We sail into infinity
We're high...
