Before entering the building, Park made a brief stop behind the press line, where reporters shouted out questions and camera flashes popped off around us.
And as expected,... Park Geun-hye delivered a prepared message there. It was one solitary sentence.
Here's what she said.
"I feel sorry to the public. I will faithfully go through the interrogation."
She's expected to have head to the 13th floor for a short meeting with ranking officials from the special probe team, before her actual interrogation.
The interrogation will likely take place in the investigation room on the 10th floor, equipped with video and audio recording facilities.
Park has been summoned as a criminal suspect so her Miranda Rights will be read as well.
The prosecution is expected to bombard Park with questions regarding the long list of charges facing her... and the questioning is likely to go past midnight.... so it's going to be a long day and night for the former president as well as the reporters and camera crew who have been out here well before the break of dawn..
The security is at its peak around the office as protesters from both sides, for and against Park's arrest, have gathered near the premises.
In fact, even though I'm at least 300 meters away from the demonstration, with a human barricade of police between us, I can still hear the chanting from the various sides.
As I said before, the big question is whether the state prosecutors will seek an arrest warrant by the end of the interrogation.
Some argue a warrant is unnecessary... as there's a low possibility of Park fleeing, since she's the former president.
On the other hand, others insist an arrest warrant is inevitable given the severity of the charges and Park's continued denial of them despite the arrests and indictments of most of her alleged accomplices.
But as the prosecutors haven't confirmed anything, we'll have to see what happens.
Back to you, Mark.

Former president Park Geun-hye returned to her private residence in Samseong-dong, southern Seoul early Wednesday morning, after 14 hours of questioning by prosecutors and several more hours reviewing her statements.
The review took longer than expected as Park is facing so many charges and because she refused to have the interrogation session videotaped or audio-recorded.
Prosecutors now have to determine, based on their investigation and Park's statements, whether to issue a warrant for her arrest.
Prosecutor General Kim Soo-nam is going to review the results of the interrogation and make a decision soon.
No one knows exactly what the prosecution plans to do... as they said their primary focus right now is on the interrogation and ensuring it's carefully reviewed.
Some within the prosecutors' office believe an arrest warrant is inevitable given the fact that a number of Park's aides at the presidential office... as well as Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong were arrested on similar charges.
On the other hand, some also think an arrest warrant won't be issued given that it could affect the May 9th presidential election,... which is less than 50 days away.

Let's start at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office.
Park Geun-hye is being questioned over the corruption scandal that shocked the nation and removed her from presidency.
Let's connect to our Kim Ji-yeon.
Ji-yeon, any word about the interrogation so far?
Daniel.
We're still waiting for more details from the interrogation, which continues behind closed doors... and is expected to continue well into the night.
The session is now in its tenth hour, with breaks for lunch and dinner in between.
There have been several briefings from the prosecutors' office,
Prosecutors have said Park is answering questions and that she has given strong opinions on some of the 13 charges she's facing.
Prosecutors also said they've already been able to ask one-third of the questions they'd prepared.
It's possible that Park was first asked about the allegations that she abused her power for personal gain and pressured conglomerates for donations in exchange for political favors.
Most critically, she's suspected of taking a bribe of around 40-million U.S. dollars from Samsung Group,... which is the charge that put Samsung heir apparent Lee Jae-yong behind bars.
If she's found guilty of bribery, that charge alone could result in Park being sentenced up to ten-years in prison.
We've also been told that Park and her lawyers have refused to let prosecutors videotape the entire interrogation session.
By law, prosecutors have the right to record interrogations with suspects, and Park was labeled a suspect by prosecutors and the independent counsel.
But prosecutors said they've agreed not to record portions of the session in order to get more answers from Park, who they believe is more likely to cooperate without the camera on.
Some argue prosecutors should have arrested Park given the nature of the charges against her.
Any word on that?
That largely depends on the outcome of today's interrogation.
Prosecutors have already given the impression that they've given Park preferential treatment... in agreeing to not to record the whole interrogation.
But if that's not the case and if Park doesn't answer questions that are well within her capacity, prosecutors may seek an arrest warrant for Park... given the severity of the charges she's facing.
Already, some of Park's closest presidential aides are behind bars on suspicions that they've colluded with her on some of the charges against her.
Prosecutors are not expected to question Park in the presence of former aides or her longtime confidante Choi Soon-sil, all of whom have reportedly told the authorities that they cannot participate for personal reasons,... but prosecutors have not provided further details on that.

Prosecutors are not expected to question Park in the presence of former aides or her longtime confidante Choi Soon-sil, all of whom have reportedly told the authorities that they cannot participate for personal reasons,... but prosecutors have not provided further details on that.

Park Geun-hye is back home after the long over due grilling by prosecutors.
It took 14 hours, and because the disgraced leader refused to have the session video or audio-recorded, her team spent more than 7 hours reviewing her statements.
That's fanned the anger of those members of the Korean public that pushed hard for her removal.
All eyes are on the prosecutors' next move.
Kim Hyo-sun has this report.

We begin with the state prosecution's questioning of former President Park Geun-hye over a series of corruption allegations that led to her being removed from the top office.
She has yet to leave for home,... but the questioning part of the investigation is over.
For the latest, we are joined by Kim Hyo-sun on the line.
Hyo-sun, fill us in...
Ji-hye,
Former President Park Geun-hye just stepped out of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, finishing 14 hours of questioning and some 6 hours of reviewing her statements with her attorneys.
Prosecutors' questioning of the former president did not finish until 11:40 p.m on Tuesday,... some 14 hours after it began at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office.
Park is expected to leave soon,... after reviewing the statements she gave to investigators.
She's been staying at the prosecutors' office for over 20 hours now.
This process is deemed important as Park and her lawyers refused to allow the interrogation session to be videotaped or audio-recorded.
Prosecutors say Park provided answers to their questions and that she had strong opinions on some of the 13 charges she's facing.
Park was first asked about the allegations that she abused her power for personal gain and pressured conglomerates for donations in exchange for political favors.
Most critically, she's suspected of taking a bribe of around 40-million U.S. dollars from Samsung Group.
That's the specific charge that put Samsung heir apparent Lee Jae-yong behind bars.
If she's found guilty of bribery, that charge alone could result in Park being sentenced to up to ten years in prison.
And with the questioning over,... we'll wait for her to leave for her home in southern Seoul. Can you tell us what we can expect next?
Prosecutors now will have to determine, based on their investigation and Park's statements, whether to issue a warrant for her arrest.
Prosecutor General Kim Soo-nam is going to review the results of the interrogation today and make a decision soon.
