The Liverpool Plains are an extensive agricultural area covering about 1.2million hectares of the north-western slopes of New South Wales in Australia.
These plains are a region of prime agricultural land bounded to the east by the Great Dividing Range, to the south by the Liverpool Range and on the west by the Warrumbungle Range. The area is drained by the Namoi River and its tributaries, the Mooki River and the Peel River. There are many depressions, across the plains, which remain as lakes for long periods after heavy rain. These plains are unusual in that many steep hills arise suddenly from the plains.
Liverpool is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly of the Australian state of New South Wales in Sydney's West. It is currently represented by Paul Lynch of the Australian Labor Party.
Liverpool was created in 1950 and has since always been represented by a member of the Australian Labor Party. It has historically been one of the safest Labor seats in New South Wales and is considered a part of Labor's heartland in Western Sydney.
At the 2011 election it became the safest ALP seat with sitting member Paul Lynch winning 64.7% of the two party preferred vote although Ron Hoenig won a larger vote at the Heffron by-election held in August 2012 but that was achieved in the absence of a Liberal opponent.
Liverpool (/ˈlɪvərpuːl/) is a city in Merseyside, England. A borough from 1207 and a city from 1880, in 2014 the city local government district had a population of 470,537 and the Liverpool/Birkenhead metropolitan area had a population of 2,241,000.
Liverpool is in the south west of the historic county of Lancashire in North West England, on the eastern side of the Mersey Estuary. The town historically lay within the ancient Lancashire division of West Derby known as a "hundred".
The urbanisation and expansion of the city were largely brought about by its advantageous location during the industrial revolution status that led to its growth as a major port, which included its participation in the Atlantic slave trade. Liverpool was the port of registry of the ocean liner RMS Titanic, and many other Cunard and White Star ocean liners such as the RMS Lusitania, Queen Mary, and Olympic. Liverpool's status as a port city has contributed to its diverse population, which, historically, was drawn from a wide range of peoples, cultures, and religions, particularly those from Ireland. The city is also home to the oldest Black African community in the country and the oldest Chinese community in Europe.
Liverpool is a 2012 Canadian comedy crime film. Written and directed by Manon Briand, the film stars Stéphanie Lapointe as Émilie, a coat check clerk at a Montreal nightclub who decides to return a coat left behind one night by a woman who took a drug overdose in the club, only to find herself embroiled in the city's criminal underground. Her only ally in the quest is Thomas (Charles-Alexandre Dubé), a regular customer of the club and a potential new love interest for Émilie.
Liverpool was Briand's first film since 2002's Chaos and Desire.

Conservatives suffer huge losses in local elections
By any measure it's been a grim day for the Conservatives - they lost the by-election for an MP in Blackpool South thanks to a massive swing to Labour, they're on track to lose around half of the local election council seats they contested and their projected national vote share is down to a dismal 25%.
With so many losses, Rishi Sunak has described the night as 'disappointing'. But he’s sure voters will stick with the Tories come the general election.

What do the local election results mean and what are the consequences for Rishi Sunak? | ITV News
Rishi Sunak said voters "will stick with us" despite a "disappointing" series of heavy local election losses, as Sir Keir Starmer hailed Labour's wins as a "clear message" the country wants change.
Counting is still underway across the country but the picture is already dismal for the Tories, who could be on track to lose as many as 500 seats in what could be their worst showing in 40 years, warn electoral analysts.
The Conservatives have lost more than half of the seats they have been defending, while Labour has made significant wins, including crucially, the new mayoralty in York and North Yorkshire in the prime minister's own backyard.
