Eastern Province - Welcome to Arabia - Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is changing rapidly and it is inviting the world to come and explore. By making tourist visa now widely available, the country is truly opening its doors to the travellers. It’s definitely positive development for the people as the arrival of travellers will bring more change the country for the good. We were asked by @mediamonks to create a series of travel films to showcase the various regions in the country. We were pleasantly surprised by the array of gems are to be discovered throughout this vast country, that till date remained fairly undiscovered. In this film follow @model_tima on a journey showing her homeland to her foreign friend @enzadilecce . Dammam (Arabic: الدمّام ad-Dammām) is the fifth-most populous city in Saudi Arabia after Riyadh, Jeddah, Mecca, and Medina. It is the capital of the Eastern Province. With a total population of 1,252,523 as of 2020. Episode 2: Eastern Region | 12 Top Tourist Places in Dammam & Around Saudi Arabia | الدمام السعودية
Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province stretches from the shallow shores of the Arabian Gulf through the palm-cloaked hills of Al Ahsa Oasis and deep into the forbidding plains of Rub’ Al Khali. Historically, its position at the crossroads of the great civilizations of the Levant, Mesopotamia and India made it a thriving trade hub.
Some of the Gulf region’s first human settlements can be found in Al Ahsa, home to one of the world’s largest oases and the region’s first UNESCO-listed city. Visitors will love Al Ahsa’s natural springs, clustered among more than 3 million date palm trees, and the beautifully preserved archaeological sites that capture the kingdom’s culture and traditions.
Here is the list of places that I explored in the Eastern Region in 2021:

Saudi Arabia is a fascinating country that has been closed for such a long time, opening up to foreign tourists only recently meaning there are some things that aren't quite 100% ready for tourism. Nevertheless, we had an amazing time in this country and we cannot wait for our next visit. Next Stop;. BAHRAIN

EXPLORING DAMMAM ||SAUDI ARABIA'S EASTERN PROVINCE
#DammamCity#EasternProvince#Corniche
Boasting endless views of the tranquil Arabian Gulf, Dammam is a modern metropolis that thrives on its coastal location. Although it is known for its lush green parks, airy waterfronts and sandy beaches, it is highly enjoyable in the winter, too, with daytime temperatures averaging in the low 20s Celsius during the day and around 10 degrees at night. The region also has a growing reputation as an arts, sports and entertainment destination.

Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia
The Eastern Province is the largest province of Saudi Arabia. The province's capital is the city of Dammam, which hosts the majority of the region's population and its government. The current governor of the region is Prince Saud Bin Naif.
The Eastern Province is home to most of Saudi Arabia's oil production. The region is also home of the City of Jubail, which hosts the Jubail Industrial City, a global hub for chemical industries. It is also a tourist area because of its location on the coast of the Persian Gulf and the variety of entertainment activities available across the region. Most of the tourists who visit the region are from the other nearby Arab states of the Persian Gulf, and the Riyadh Region.

The places featured in this film:
Dammam - Eastern Province - KSA
Half moon bay
Here we shot the beach scenes. South of Al Khobar, this area boasts high-end resorts and spas perfect for an indulgent day out. For the beautiful beach you need to go to a resort though. The public beaches are not the best but we found that iconic boat here.
Al Ahsa Oasis
The wonderful caves and rock formations we filmed at the oasis of Al Ahsa in eastern Saudi Arabia which became he kingdom’s fifth UNESCO World Heritage site in 2018. In classical Arabic, Ahsa is the sound of water running underground. The name suits the oasis perfectly – Al-Ahsa has been one of the richest areas of groundwater sources in the region and the reason behind its rich greenery. The oasis is one of the largest in the world, and is one of the most verdant places in the country with over 3 million palm trees and plenty of hot and cold springs, all amid a sea of sand.
An absolute highlight are the Al quara Caves in the Al Qarah Mountain. Dramatically shaped caves that sets to have lived ages of long gone civilisations: The caves span about 1.5 km (0.9 miles) through the mountain. Local legends say that the cave has sheltered many figures from history including Abraham (known as Prophet Ibrahim in Arabic), the Chaldeans (of Babylon) and kings of the Dilmun civilisation.
Try some traditional pottery
The Dougha Handmade Pottery Factory located in Al-Ahsa is one of the oldest pottery centers in Saudi Arabia. The factory was started by Dougha Al Garash, a trained potter, over 150 years ago. He passed his skills down to his sons and grandsons who are now running the factory.
Potters will give you a guide around the factory, share its history, and let you try your hand at the potter’s wheel. The factory also has a store where you can buy a number of clay souvenirs – everything from pots, flasks, vases and vessels
Clay Mada Pottery
Dammam Corniche
The Dammam Corniche is undoubtedly the city's top attraction, famous throughout Saudi Arabia, Not bad for a seaside promenade.
Buzzing cafes, manicured gardens, carnival rides and a wonderfully chilled-out atmosphere combined to make the Corniche the perfect spot to spend your down time in Dammam.
Date Market
Saudi Arabia's second major product, dates, also forms a large part of Eastern Province's economy. Every year thousands of tonnes of dates are harvested from the date palms in the giant oases of Al-Ahsa. This is not a touristic attraction but a market where the buyers bid and buy.
KSA centre
The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture is an outstanding piece of architecture and a bold new initiative to promote cultural development within the Kingdom. Following an invited architectural design competition in 2007, Snøhetta was selected to design this new prestigious cultural facility. The project contains diverse cultural facilities, including an auditorium, cinema, library, exhibition hall, museum and archive.
Old Souk Al Asha
This souk is very old place for traders along ages, recently it has been restored as the old souk. It is nice to see different gods from house hold to farming tools etc

1. Hanging Bridge Al Ahsa
2. Jawath Mosque Al Ahsa
3. Jawatha Park Al Ahsa
4. Al Qarah Mountains Al Ahsa
5. Modon Lake Dammam
6. Asfar Lake Al Ahsa
7. Ras Tanura Beach
8. Judah's Thumb
9 Uqair Fort
10. Roman Theater - Uqair
11. Uqair Beach
12. Al Khobar Corniche
