Fetal Development
This video shows the three major stages of fetal development that occur during the nine months of pregnancy. The first is the germinal stage, which starts with the fertilization of the egg and ends around two weeks after conception. The next stage is the embryonic stage, which occurs between weeks 3-8 and is when organs and limbs become apparent. Last is the fetal stage. It occurs from the ninth week until birth and is when sex organs develop and organ systems and limbs develop further.

Fetal Development, 0 - 40 Weeks of Pregnancy
A fertilized egg develops a water-tight sac that gradually fills with fluid, the fetus is starting to explore a little by opening and closing its lips and fists. The nervous system is starting to function. Genitalia and reproductive organs have reached full maturity. You may feel the fetus moving around at this point. As the eyelids start to separate, the eyes open. The fetus increases its pulse in response to sounds. The developing fetus keeps growing and building up body fat reserves. Hearing has fully developed at this point. At this stage, the fetus can see and hear and the brain is rapidly developing. To prepare for birth, the fetus' position may shift. You may feel very uncomfortable during this final stage as the fetus settles into your pelvis and prepares for birth. #pregnancy #pre...

Global Development Explained
The world is healthier and wealthier today than ever before. As the world becomes more connected and technologically advanced, some countries have made drastic improvements in life expectancy and economic growth. Many have implemented economic policies that encourage trade and others also receive developmental assistance from larger countries that see strategic value in providing aid. But other countries, especially those that have experienced political instability, natural disasters, and long-term domestic conflict, have seen less improvement. Development is a hard concept to define and its trends depend on many factors, that is why the United Nations launched its list of Sustainable Development Goals, a new environmentally friendly and inclusive framework for countries to develop.

I will make more videos about the mindset to learning to code, other careers in tech other than SWE, and how I escaped tutorial hell.

Blood cells now being produced
Cardiac contractions began at 3 weeks
Neural tube is closed
8 weeks
Final week of the embryonic period
Organogenesis in now complete

Development at 12 Weeks
Starts to make its own spontaneous movements. Top of the uterus can be felt above pubic bone.
Elbows and knees have been bending since week 10
Heart beat may be heard on examination
The sex organs of should start to become clear
Development at 16 Weeks
Mum can feel the top of the uterus about 3 inches below your belly button.
The baby's eyes can blink and the heart and blood vessels are fully formed.
The baby's fingers and toes have fingerprints.
Development at 20 Weeks
Between 17 and 20 weeks gestation, thalamo-cortical relays penetrate the cortex.
20 weeks gestation, pain receptors are present and linked.
By 20 weeks gestation, the baby will respond to sound and move, wince, and recoil from sharp objects and incisions.
Big stress hormone response since 18 weeks
Uterus the level of the belly button.
The baby can suck a thumb, yawn, stretch, and make faces.

Implantation of the blastocyst | Week 2 of embryonic development | Developmental biology
Week 2 is often referred to as the week of twos. It's the week when the embryoblast, extraembryonic mesoderm and trophoblast each separate into two distinct layers. Additionally, there are two cavities that develop within the embryonic unit at this time as well. The following questions would be answered in this video:
What happens in the second week of embryonic development?
What are the 4 stages of embryonic development?
What is the fertilized egg called after about 2 weeks of development?
What are the 5 stages of embryonic development?
How long does it take for a blastocyst to implant?
Where does blastocyst implant in uterus?
What happens in the blastocyst stage?

The John Templeton Foundation recently invited biologist Michael Levin to speak to a small group about the presence of agency and cognition in the most fundamental forms of life, even at the levels of cells and tissues. In the recorded video, Dr. Levin, who directs a developmental biology lab at Tufts University, discusses with Philip Ball, a science writer and author of the newly published Book of Minds: How to Understand Ourselves and Other Beings.
