Fetal Development
This video shows the three major stages of fetal development that occur during the nine months of pregnancy. The first is the germinal stage, which starts with the fertilization of the egg and ends around two weeks after conception. The next stage is the embryonic stage, which occurs between weeks 3-8 and is when organs and limbs become apparent. Last is the fetal stage. It occurs from the ninth week until birth and is when sex organs develop and organ systems and limbs develop further.

Fetal Development, 0 - 40 Weeks of Pregnancy
A fertilized egg develops a water-tight sac that gradually fills with fluid, the fetus is starting to explore a little by opening and closing its lips and fists. The nervous system is starting to function. Genitalia and reproductive organs have reached full maturity. You may feel the fetus moving around at this point. As the eyelids start to separate, the eyes open. The fetus increases its pulse in response to sounds. The developing fetus keeps growing and building up body fat reserves. Hearing has fully developed at this point. At this stage, the fetus can see and hear and the brain is rapidly developing. To prepare for birth, the fetus' position may shift. You may feel very uncomfortable during this final stage as the fetus settles into your pelvis and prepares for birth. #pregnancy #pre...
