John Peter Farnham, Jr. AO (born 1 July 1949), formerly billed as Johnny Farnham from his professional debut in 1967 until 1980, is an English-born Australian pop singer. Farnham was a teen pop idol from 1964 to 1979, but has since forged a career as an adult contemporary singer. His career has mostly been as a solo artist although he temporarily replaced Glenn Shorrock as lead singer of Little River Band from 1982 to 1985. In September 1986 his solo single, "You're the Voice" peaked at No. 1 on the Australian singles charts. The associated album, Whispering Jack, held the No. 1 position for a total of 25 weeks and is the highest-selling album in Australian history. Both the single and the album had Top Ten success internationally including No. 1 in Sweden.
Domestically he has remained one of Australia's best-known performers with a career spanning over 45 years, and he is the only Australian artist to have a number one record in five consecutive decades (echoing that of Cliff Richard in the UK) with singles: "Sadie (The Cleaning Lady)" in 1967, "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" in 1969/1970, and "Age of Reason" in 1988; and albums: Age of Reason, Chain Reaction in 1990, Then Again... in 1993, Anthology 1: Greatest Hits 1986–1997 in 1997, 33⅓ in 2000, The Last Time in 2002 and Two Strong Hearts Live in 2015.
Day by Day is a daily meditation book for alcoholics and addicts. It was written in 1973 by members of the Young People's Group of Alcoholics Anonymous in Denver, Colorado. The project was spearheaded by Shelly M., a member of the group who went on to compile Young, Sober & Free and The Pocket Sponsor.Day by Day was written when there were fewer than 200 Narcotics Anonymous meetings held worldwide, and was the group’s effort to produce twelve step literature inclusive of addicts. Each day’s entry contains a meditation, followed by and open-ended statement after which there is a blank space for writing. Every entry concludes with the sentence, “God help me to stay clean and sober today!”
The BBC World War I centenary season is the marking of the centenary of the First World War across the BBC. Programming started in 2014 and will last until 2018, corresponding to 100 years after the war. The BBC season will include 130 newly commissioned radio and television programmes which will last over 2500 hours, including more than 600 hours of new content. The programmes will be broadcast on over twenty BBC television and radio stations.
The First World War centenary season was announced on 16 October 2013 by the BBC. Adrian Van Klaveren, the BBC World War I centenary controller called the project the "biggest and most ambitious pan-BBC project ever commissioned". The series will feature a wide variety of programming that according to its producers is intended to present a more neutral and accurate picture of the war than the view commonly held by the public. In support of this goal, several programmes will explore lesser-known topics such as the experiences of troops from New Zealand and Australia in the Gallipoli Campaign and several others will be focused on presenting the impact that the war has had on the world today. Other programmes will attempt to show the effect that the war had on the individuals involved in it and one documentary will show numerous veteran interviews that were filmed for the BBC documentary The Great War on the conflict's fiftieth anniversary in 1964 but were omitted from that programme.
Day By Day is an album by gospel singer Yolanda Adams. The single "Victory" was featured in the movie The Gospel. The single "Be Blessed" won a Grammy award for Best Gospel Performance. "Someone Watching Over You" was also released as a single, and a music video was released for "This Too Shall Pass" (a song originally recorded as a duet with Crystal Lewis on the 1996 compilation album Sisters: The Story Goes On).
Yolanda says of the title of her album in an interview, "I let my listener know that it's a process. That once you decide, 'Look, God I want you to lead my life, I want you to... take me through the hard stuff..." it doesn't just start automatically. And you don't just leap like Superman to the next spiritual level. It doesn't work like that. It's a day by day journey."
The album was nominated for a Dove Award for Urban of the Year at the 37th GMA Dove Awards. The project also garnered two Grammy Awards: 2005 Best Gospel Performance - Be Blessed; 2006 Best Gospel Song - Victory.

Farnham is a town in Surrey, England, within the Borough of Waverley. The town is 34.5 miles (55.5 km) WSW of London in the extreme west of Surrey, adjacent to the border with Hampshire. By road Guildford is 11 miles (17 km) to the east and Winchester a further 28 miles (45 km) along the same axis as London. Farnham is the largest town in Waverley, and one of the five largest conurbations in Surrey. It is of historic interest, with many old buildings, including a number of Georgian houses. Farnham Castle overlooks the town. A short distance southeast of the town centre are the ruins of Waverley Abbey, Moor Park House and Mother Ludlam's Cave. Farnham is twinned with Andernach in Germany. It is drained by the River Wey (North Branch) which is navigable only to canoes at this point.
Farnham's history and present status are mainly the result of its geography; a combination of river, streams, fresh water springs and varied soils, together with a temperate climate, was attractive in prehistoric times. The geology of the area continues to influence the town, both in terms of communications, scenic and botanic variety and the main local industries of agriculture and minerals extraction. Farnham Geological Society is an active organisation in the town, and the Museum of Farnham has a collection of geological samples and fossils.

Farnham was a parliamentary constituency in Surrey, England that returned one Member of Parliament to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 1918 until it was abolished for the 1983 general election. It was largely replaced by the new constituency of South West Surrey, though parts had already broken away to form Surrey Heath.
During its 65-year lifetime it was represented by three Conservatives successively.
The constituency took its name from the town of Farnham and included a number of other towns and a large rural area. The boundaries were altered at each redistribution of parliamentary seats, reflecting the increase in population of the area and thus the splitting of Western Surrey (or Guildford) into South West Surrey or Guildford and North West Surrey, followed by South West Surrey, most of Surrey Heath, and Guildford covering this part of Surrey, the arrangement by 1983.

The touch of your hand, will let me know
You take me in, and let me go
If not for love, why would we meet
How is it done, two into one
CHORUS:
We're lifted up by angels
Higher than the world
Strong enough to leave it
Bound to leave the secrets
Angels never heard
We're lifted up by angels...
You understand, yet never say
How every plan would fade away
If not for love, where would you be
Ashes to dust, water to rust
Away from me
(chorus)
Close enough to heaven
Above the rain
Darkness cannot reach us
Let the angels teach us
Only love remains
We're lifted up by angels
Given wings to fly
Leave the night behind us
Trust the light to find us
Even as we rise
We're lifted up by angels ...
Close enough to heaven
Above the rain
Darkness cannot reach us
Let the angels teach us
Only love remains
(chorus)
We're lifted up by angels....
