James ReyneOAM (born James Michael Nugent Reyne on 19 May 1957 in Lagos, Nigeria) is an Australian rock musician and singer/songwriter both in solo work and, until 1986, with the band Australian Crawl.
Biography
Early years
Reyne was born in Lagos, Nigeria to an Australian mother and English diplomat father. The family moved to Victoria, Australia in the early 1960s. Reyne lived in Mount Eliza, Victoria, was educated at The Peninsula School and studied drama at the Victorian College of Arts. He formed a band called Spiff Rouch containing fellow locals Bill McDonough, Guy McDonough, Brad Robinson, Paul Williams, Robert Walker, Mark Hudson and Simon Binks. and solo work. By early 1978, Spiff Rouch had split with Reyne to form Clutch Cargo with Binks, Robinson, Williams and his younger brother David Reyne.
Australian Crawl
In late 1978, Clutch Cargo was renamed Australian Crawl and started to gain popularity on the pub circuit. David Reyne left to continue an acting course and was replaced by Bill McDonough. Australian Crawl made a memorable debut on the Countdown TV show. Reyne performed with both arms in plaster casts, a result of injuries sustained after being hit by a car. The band went on to sell more than one million albums in Australia in the 1980s. Their most popular songs are "Reckless", "Beautiful People", "Errol", "The Boys Light Up", "Things Don't Seem", "Oh No Not You Again" and "Downhearted". They were voted Countdown 1981 Most Popular Group, and Reyne was 1980 and 1981 Most Popular Male Performer. After the band split up in 1986, Reyne went on to a successful solo career.
James Reyne's self-titled album was released in 1987 and was the Australian singer's first solo venture since the break-up of the band Australian Crawl in 1986.
The album saw six singles released in Australia the first being, "Fall of Rome", followed by "Motor's Too Fast" (which saw the album repackaged to include this song) and then "Hammerhead", "Heaven on a Stick", "Rip It Up" and "Always The Way".
One of Reyne's best known songs was "Hammerhead" which was commonly believed to be about drug addiction. He later reflected:
Track listing
"Fall of Rome" (Reyne)
"Hammerhead" (Reyne / Hussey)
"Mr. Sandman" (Reyne / Hussey)
"Counting on Me" (Reyne / Sigerson)

John Peter Farnham, Jr.AO (born 1 July 1949), formerly billed as Johnny Farnham from his professional debut in 1967 until 1980, is an English-born Australian pop singer. Farnham was a teen pop idol from 1964 to 1979, but has since forged a career as an adult contemporary singer. His career has mostly been as a solo artist although he temporarily replaced Glenn Shorrock as lead singer of Little River Band from 1982 to 1985. In September 1986 his solo single, "You're the Voice" peaked at No. 1 on the Australian singles charts. The associated album, Whispering Jack, held the No. 1 position for a total of 25 weeks and is the highest-selling album in Australian history. Both the single and the album had Top Ten success internationally including No. 1 in Sweden.
The song was adapted from an aria ("Musetta's Waltz") from Puccini's La Boheme. It became Reese's biggest hit, reaching number two on the U.S. Pop chart and number one on the U.S. R&B chart. The song was a follow-up to her previous big hit "And That Reminds Me".
The album's lead single, "Put On" was released on June 3, 2008. The song features guest appearance from an American recording artist Kanye West, while it was produced by Drumma Boy. The album's second single, "Vacation" was released on August 12, 2008. The song was produced by The Inkredibles.
The album's third single, "Crazy World" was released on October 25, 2008. The song was produced by Midnight Black. The album's fourth single, "My President" was released on November 15, 2008. The song features Nas, while it was produced by Tha Bizness. The album's fifth and final single, "Who Dat" was released on January 6, 2009. The song was produced by Shawty Redd, along with the co-production by D. Rich.
Farnham is a town in Surrey, England, within the Borough of Waverley. The town is 34.5 miles (55.5km)WSW of London in the extreme west of Surrey, adjacent to the border with Hampshire. By road Guildford is 11 miles (17km) to the east and Winchester a further 28 miles (45km) along the same axis as London. Farnham is the largest town in Waverley, and one of the five largest conurbations in Surrey. It is of historic interest, with many old buildings, including a number of Georgian houses. Farnham Castle overlooks the town. A short distance southeast of the town centre are the ruins of Waverley Abbey, Moor Park House and Mother Ludlam's Cave. Farnham is twinned with Andernach in Germany. It is drained by the River Wey (North Branch) which is navigable only to canoes at this point.
Geography
Farnham's history and present status are mainly the result of its geography; a combination of river, streams, fresh water springs and varied soils, together with a temperate climate, was attractive in prehistoric times. The geology of the area continues to influence the town, both in terms of communications, scenic and botanic variety and the main local industries of agriculture and minerals extraction. Farnham Geological Society is an active organisation in the town, and the Museum of Farnham has a collection of geological samples and fossils.

Title: Help
Artist: John Farnham
Album: Uncovered
Year: 1980
Lyrics:
When I was younger, so much younger than today
I never needed anybody's help in any way
But now these days are gone, I'm not so self-assured
Now I find I've changed my mind
I've opened up the doors
Help me if you can I'm feelin' down
And I do appreciate you bein' 'round
Help me get my feet back on the ground
Won't you please, please help me
And now my life has changed, in oh so many ways
My independence seems to vanish in the haze
But every now and then I feel so insecure
And I know that I just need you
Like I've never done before...

Lyrics:
We have the chance to turn the pages over
We can write what we want to write
We gotta make ends meet, before we get much older
We're all someone's daughter
We're all someone's son
How long can we look at each other
Down the barrel of a gun?
You're the voice, try and understand it
Make a noise and make it clear
Oh-wo-wo-wo, oh-wo-wo-wo
We're not gonna sit in silence
We're not gonna live with fear
Oh-wo-wo-wo, oh-wo-wo-wo

The touch of your hand, will let me know You take me in, and let me go If not for love, why would we meet How is it done, two into one CHORUS: We're lifted up by angels Higher than the world Strong enough to leave it Bound to leave the secrets Angels never heard We're lifted up by angels... You understand, yet never say How every plan would fade away If not for love, where would you be Ashes to dust, water to rust Away from me (chorus) Close enough to heaven Above the rain Darkness cannot reach us Let the angels teach us Only love remains We're lifted up by angels Given wings to fly Leave the night behind us Trust the light to find us Even as we rise We're lifted up by angels ... Close enough to heaven Above the rain Darkness cannot reach us Let the angels teach us Only love remains (chorus) We're lifted up by angels....
