Everyday life or Daily life or Routine life is a phrase used to refer to the ways in which people typically act, think, and feel on a daily basis. Everyday life may be described as considered mundane, routine, natural or habitual. Sometimes it is called normality.
Human diurnality means most people sleep at least part of the night and are active in daytime. Most eat two or three meals in a day. Working time, apart from shift work is mostly on a daily schedule, beginning in the morning. This produces the daily rush hours experienced by many millions. Evening is often leisure time. Bathing every day is a custom for many.
Beyond these broad similarities, different people spend their day differently. Nomadic life differs from sedentism, and among the sedentary, urban people live differently from rural ones. Differences in the lives of the rich and the poor, or between factory workers and intellectuals, may go beyond their working hours. Many women spend their day in activities greatly different from those of men, and everywhere children do different things than adults.
Egyptian identity is closely tied to geography. The population of Egypt is concentrated in the lower Nile valley, the small strip of cultivable land stretching from the First Cataract to the Mediterranean and enclosed by desert both to the east and to the west. This unique geography has been the basis of the development of Egyptian society since antiquity. If regarded as a single ethnic group, the Egyptian people constitute one of the world's largest.
The Ashkali (also Aškalije, Haškalije, Hashkali) and Balkan Egyptians (Jevgs, Egjiptjant or Gjupci) are Albanian-speaking ethnic cultural minorities (recognized communities) which mainly inhabit Kosovo. They are sometimes considered to be AlbanizedRomani, but they do not self-identify as such and since they are not sharing the same language with the Romani people nor the traditions they want to referred just as Albanians. Prior to the Kosovo War of 1999, Ashkali registered themselves as Albanians. Now they are divided by identifying with two different groups, although the people share culture, traditions and language (Albanian).
During the Kosovo War, they were displaced as refugees in Albania, Serbia and the Republic of Macedonia and whole Western Europe such as Germany and France. The "Ashkali" identity was created in 1999, as they tried to show their pro-Albanian stance and distinguish themselves from the Roms (Gypsies).
History
The "Ashkali" have been classed as a "new ethnic identity in the Balkans", formed in the 1990s.

Daily life in Ancient Egypt is brought vividly alive by writer and Egyptologist John Romer in this intimate documentary series. More than 3000 years ago a village was established at Thebes on the West Bank of the Nile. Situated amid a barren and arid landscape, it housed the workers who created the tombs of the pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings. Stonemasons, painters, sculptors, quarrymen and scribes lived with their wives and children in the village and worked closely together in the sacred valley. As well as creating some of the greatest masterworks of ancient art in the royal tombs, they built tombs and chapels for themselves and their families, erected temples for the village gods and wrote prayers and recorded their thoughts on stones and papyri. The study of these ancient records and years of excavation at Deir El Medina and in the Valley of the Kings has enabled Romer to recreate the villagers' lives in the most intimate detail.

Ancient Egyptians ranged from extremely poor serfs and slaves to incredible wealthy royalty like Pharaohs; kings and queens.
This documentary is an overview of the history of most Egyptians. This groups is mainly made up of farmers and farm workers.
We first look at social hierarchy. There's a common misconception that Egyptians were divided by their occupations. For example, a pyramid might be ordered: Pharaoh, Government Officials (Vizier/Priests/Nobles), Soldiers, Scribes, Merchants, Artisans, Craftsmen, Farmers, Construction Workers, Serfs, Slaves.
Next we look at why the Nile river was so essential to Egypt's prosperity.
Most farmers lived by the Nile river and used it daily so it was extremely important.
The work life of farmers is fascinating, so we spend a decent chunk of time seeing how farming worked in ancient Egypt. See the tools and process Egyptians used to farm and grow their crops.
After this we walk through a reconstructed ancient Egyptian house. You'll see all of the rooms and furniture that was typical in a home at the time. Their pets were also important, so dogs and cats are briefly mentioned.
Next we look at the ancient Egyptian diet. The staples were beer and bread. Wheat derived products were the basis of all meals. See what an Egyptian would eat from day to day in a full day of eating.
Following the Egyptian menu, we take a look a what happens when an Egyptian dies. Life expectancies and causes of death are not a fun subject, but the process of death was a massive part of ancient Egyptian culture.
On a lighter note, we finish off with family and free time. Much of life was spent on a farm working, but family was always the main focus of an Egyptian. What kids did in their spare time isn't really too different to what kids did today.
In summary, this is a complete look at what daily life of an Egyptian was really like.

For millennia, the grand pyramids of Egypt have towered over the desert sands, captivating and mystifying all who lay their eyes upon them.
In fact, everything about the great ancient civilization that once seized the lands remained a mystery.

Fascinating documentary that reveals the complete history of daily life in Ancient Egypt. Subscribe to Our History: https://bit.ly/3v5mKBG

Egyptologist, Dr Joann Fletcher investigates what everyday life was like in ancient Egypt for an ordinary person.Joann explores how the people of Egypt lived by exploring their tombs, touring museums as well as uncovering their beliefs in the afterlife.
