NASA is a Swedishsynthpop band fronted by Patrik Henzel and Martin Thors. They debuted in 1983 with a song for a Swedish film. In 1985 they had a Swedish top ten hit "Paula". In the 1980s, the band had little success outside of Sweden. A planned US album was recorded, but then shelved by Columbia Records. They continued to have numerous hit singles in their home country of Sweden. They were basically defunct for most of the 1990s, but had a resurgence with the album "Remembering the Future" in 1999.
Scientists Discover Human Brain Is a Living Word Cloud

How Smartphones Shrink Our Brains

Smartphones are so ubiquitous that they almost fade into the background. Everyone has one and nobody thinks twice about them. But what if they were affecting the way our brains function in a very tangible way? That would mean society has been collectively altered and we don't even know it. In this episode we take a look at the research of the tenuous relationship between smartphones and our brains.

Blood clots:The good, the bad and the deadly.
Blood clotting or coagulation is an important biological process that prevents excessive bleeding when a blood vessel is injured by forming a clot over the injury.
As necessary as it is, blood clots forming inside our body could be harmful. Blood clotting in veins does not dissolve itself. This hinders the regular flow of blood and affects the supply of oxygen to the heart and rest of the body. Heart attacks, strokes, sudden pain, numbness, redness of skin are a few symptoms.
Lack of movement, previous strokes, heart disease, cancer treatment etc. may result in blood clotting.
Cases where people infected with Covid-19 formed blood clots in their lungs, called pulmonary embolism, emerged as well. Symptoms included, light fever, difficulty in breathing, chest pain, dry cough and haemoptys...

No-Age & NO-AD Seminar Series-AI-Mind: Intelligent digital tools for screening of brain connectivity
Presentation from AI-Mind: Intelligent digital tools for screening of brain connectivity and dementia risk estimation in people affected by mild cognitive impairment by Prof. Dr. Ira Haraldsen.
Norway, the EU, and many other countries/regions are rapidly transforming into ageing societies. Ageing is the largest risk factor for many chronic diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease (AD).
AI-Mind, is a project that has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the grant agreement No 964220 on screening brain connectivity and dementia risk estimation in people affected by Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). AI-Mind will open the door to extending the ‘dementia-free’ period by offering proper diagnosis and early intervention. Over 5 years, AI-...

When nutrients and oxygen do not reach the brain properly, blockage starts in the vein. However, when the blockage starts in the vein of the brain, then its signs start to appear.

Over 5 years, AI-Mind will develop two artificial intelligence-based digital tools that will identify dysfunctional brain networks and will assess dementia risk.
