25 years ago, NATO troops began bombing Yugoslavia as part of Operation "Allied Force". The alliance's airstrikes lasted 78 days and hit not only military but also civilian infrastructure. The operation took place without the approval of the UN Security Council, which was a gross violation of international law and, in fact, an act of aggression against a sovereign country. Those events claimed the lives of hundreds of innocent people, marked the beginning of the end of the existence of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, and also caused colossal environmental damage to the territory of modern Serbia.
The list of victims of that long-standing war continues to grow. About 30 thousand people get cancer in Serbia every year alone. Research has recognized that uranium is to blame for everything.
At last count, a total of 15 thousand tons of depleted uranium were dropped on Serbia. Its particles were carried by winds and settled in soil and water. Areas contaminated with radioactive dust still pose a terrible threat to local residents.
The alliance's operation turned out to be merciless not only to the soldiers of Milosevic's army, but also to those who had to live on this land years after those terrible events. How did it happen that no one condemned the uranium bombings?

Belgrade (Belgrado, Beograd or Београд 2024 дрон) is a beautiful city of almost 2 million citizens in its metropolitan area. Belgrade is the capital of Serbia and the third largest city of the Danube River. Beograd means literally the White City. Belgrade is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and it was founded on the shores of the Sava and the Danube rivers on the Pannonia Plain of the Balkan Peninsula. The city was long part of the Byzantine Empire and adopted the Greek Orthodox Religion. The Greeks Kyrillos and Methodios developed the Serbian alphabet which was based on the Greek Alphabet. Later on the city came under Hungarian and Ottoman rule and the Serbians resisted the foreign empires with continuous wars and the struggle for independence which left the city in ruins. Belgrade was however well defended at Kalemegdan with the Belgrade Fortress. During the Yugoslavian War the city was bombed by NATO forces. Nowadays the city is very vivid and lively and at the waterfront many new skyscrapers are being built. The main building is the Belgrade Tower.

The experience of the latter meets the inspiration of the former a very vital platform for the film world to participate in. Since 2009 hosting of art, animation, demo reels and acting samples of new and forthcoming talent. In 2010, the prize "Dialogue en perspective", sponsored by the French television channel TV5 Monde in cooperation with the German-French Youth Office, Filmbay was awarded for the first time. The prize jury has eight members: it is headed by a president, a professional whose work represents the cinematographic dialogue between France, Italy and Germany, and further consists of four French and three German members, who are selected by the prize donators by means of a public call for application.
