Garfield and Friends is an American animated television series based on the comic stripGarfield by Jim Davis. The show was produced by Film Roman, in association with United Media in Season 1, United Media/Mendelson in Season 2 and 3, United Media/Lee Mendelson Productions in Season 4–6, Lee Mendelson Productions in Season 7, and Paws, Inc., and ran on CBSSaturday mornings from September 17, 1988 to December 10, 1994, with reruns airing until October 7, 1995. Seven seasons of the series were produced.
In addition to the cartoons featuring Garfield, the series also included cartoons featuring the characters from U.S. Acres, a comic strip Davis was drawing concurrently with Garfield when Garfield and Friends premiered on television. Like the comic strip these were based on, the shorts were retitled Orson's Farm for viewers outside of the United States (taking the name of their main character, Orson Pig). Although Davis stopped drawing U.S. Acres/Orson's Farm seven months after Garfield and Friends debuted, the characters continued to appear on the series until it ceased production.
A Garfield Christmas Special is a 1987 American animated television special based on the Garfield comic strip. It once again featured Lorenzo Music as the voice of Garfield. The special was first broadcast December 21, 1987 on CBS and was rebroadcast on CBS every year thereafter until 2000. It was only recently rebroadcast again in 2008 and 2009 on ABC Family. It has been released on both VHS and DVD home video.
TV Guide ranked the special number 10 on its 10 Best Family Holiday Specials list.
Plot
In a brightly decorated house, Garfield is awakened by Jon dressed as an elf, who says it is Christmas and Garfield must be treated to a large amount of lasagna before opening his gift, which consists of a robotic Santa Claus which reads minds and produces whatever Garfield wants, pleasing him until Jon actually wakes up Garfield, who realizes he was dreaming. Jon tells Garfield that it is Christmas Eve and Jon, Garfield, and Odie are going to the countryside to celebrate Christmas with Jon's family on their farm. Garfield wonders why they always go to the farm and wonders why they never come to their place instead. During his drive to the farm, Jon talks about Christmas he had when he was a boy. Making their animated debuts are the sweet and always cooking Mom, hard working farmer Dad, the silly younger brother Doc Boy, and the loving, tough as nails Grandma. Grandma and Garfield quickly grow a special bond. Jon, Garfield, and Odie take a walk, while Grandma spikes Mom's sausage gravy by adding chili powder. Jon and Garfield return for dinner, while Odie works on something secretive and then sneaks back into the house. During dinner, Grandma sneaks some food to Garfield and Odie.

Plot
On Christmas Eve, Clara Oswald is woken up by the sound of something crashing on her rooftop. Investigating nearby voices, she is astonished to find Santa Claus, two elves, a sleigh and flying reindeer stranded on her roof. The Doctor soon arrives to take Clara away, but not before Santa tells him that he will need his help before the night is over, while promising him a tangerine.
"The Next Doctor" is the first of the 2008–10 specials of the British science fiction television programme Doctor Who that was broadcast on 25 December 2008, as the fourth Christmas special of the revived series. During its original airing, the episode had an audience of 13.1 million viewers and was the second-most-watched programme of Christmas Day 2008.
The Doctor lands his TARDIS in London on Christmas Eve, 1851. Overhearing cries for help, he encounters a man calling himself "The Doctor" and his companion Rosita, attempting to capture a Cybershade. The Cybershade escapes the trio. The Doctor, in talking to the man, comes to believe he may be a future incarnation of himself, who is suffering from amnesia. The man, dubbed the Next Doctor, takes the Doctor to a nearby house of a recently deceased reverend, believing him tied to a series of disappearances around London and the Cybershade. Inside, they discover a pair of Cybermen data-storage infostamps, which the Next Doctor recalls holding the night that he lost his memories. The two are attacked by Cybermen and the Doctor attempts to fight them off with a cutlass, but the Next Doctor kills them using electrical discharge from the infostamps.
Garfield Station has very limited weekday inbound service to Hoboken Terminal, with the last train leaving Garfield in the afternoon. Return service continues all day, with the last train stopping at approximately 1:00 am. Weekend service operates on a more frequent basis inbound.
Parking is also very limited, as there are only bicycle racks on the Hoboken-bound platform and no actual street parking. Pedestrian access is available via two staircases on Passaic Street, and at grade level on Somerset Street which runs near the end of the platforms.
Since the revamping of Plauderville Station, usage patterns for the two stations have changed significantly. Plauderville is only one stop away to the north, and lies just within the Garfield city limits. It previously had a similar "bare-bones" rail-level boarding configuration as the Garfield station, with a similar schedule. However, as of October 2011, Plauderville became a modern, raised, handicap-accessible, well-lit platform. It also has parking facilities, and more scheduled service. Because of these advantages, Plauderville has become the preferred station for the city of Garfield, with more than twice as many passengers as Garfield Station.
On Thanksgiving, according to Garfield, people “celebrate food by eating as much of it as possible. It’s a tradition, I love tradition.” But that tradition is history following a checkup from veterinarian Liz Wilson, a sassy lady who’s also the new heartthrob of Garfield’s owner, Jon. The bad news for Garfield: he must go on a diet. The good news for Jon: Liz agrees to come to his house for Thanksgiving.

Mark Dindal’s film is unlikely to be hailed as a family movie classic, and as animated interpretations of “Garfield” go, it lags way behind the classic Halloween and Christmas specials or the “Garfield and Friends” TV series... The post ‘Garfield.
