WarioWare: D.I.Y Showcase is the game that accompanies WarioWare D.I.Y. and can be used to transfer games, comics and records between both games. It was the second and final WarioWare title released for the Wii.

The game was distributed exclusively through WiiWare. Due to the Wii Shop Channel's closure near the end of of January 2019, it is no longer possible to purchase the game.

Gameplay[]

The gameplay is very similar to WarioWare D.I.Y. Only the player uses the Wii Remote instead of a stylus to interact with the microgames. Players can send comics, records, and games to their Wii from their DS, DS Lite, DSi, or 3DS system via the Distribution Center. This requires a copy of WarioWare D.I.Y.

There are 72 pre-made microgames for the player to unlock, plus comics and records which are already unlocked at the Wario-Man Super Store. Other Game Blenders can be unlocked, such as multiplayer, which lets up to four people play microgames all at the same time.

Once the microgames are unlocked in the Game Blender, they can played at any time or be sent to WarioWare: D.I.Y.

WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase has a total of 78 microgames (two Japanese-exclusive, two international-exclusive). It also featured downloadable microgames that were also available for WarioWare: D.I.Y. through Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. They were split into three categories: Weekly Games, Big Name Games and games created by other users for design challenges.

Trivia[]

  • WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase is the only original Wario game released through the Wii Shop Channel.
  • Several microgames from WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase, such as Stop! Go!, Flag Waver and Duck Hunt, later reappeared in WarioWare Gold.
