Food Security Program

VAS offers a variety of services to help individuals and families in need. These services include shopping vouchers, food pickup, access to a food bank, and other services. VAS understands that food insecurity can be a major concern for many people, so we strive to provide assistance and expand our food security program following the covid-19 pandemic.

Our goal is to provide nutritious, healthy, and culturally suiting food options TO THOSE WHO NEED IT MOST.

MannaFood Shopping Vouchers

In partnership with Manna food Center, VAS provides $30 vouchers for Angkor Mart and Hung Phat Market. These vouchers are only redeemable at the specified locations. please call VAS office at (301)-646-5852 or email us at [email protected] for more information on how to receive these vouchers.

Food Pickup & Food Bank

our food pickup service and food bank program first started at the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic. VAS continues to provide food to the community via partnership with Capital area food bank. for more information on upcoming food drive times and dates, please call VAS office at 301-646-5852 or email [email protected].

Other Food Security Services

VAS also provides support for other food security related needs, such as assistance with the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as food stamps).
