Me and My Snake is the sixth episode of Survivor: Pearl Islands.
Story[]
Day 16[]
Back at Drake, Rupert suggested to elevate the shelter. But Shawn is hesitant with the idea by saying it's all a waste of energy and time.
Sandra |
“ | So, everybody starts taking the shelter apart and, what happened? Shawn told Jon, "Well, I think this is all a waste of time. I don't think we should be wasting our energy doing all of this." Shawn kept looking for excuses why not to help and Jon's like had it up to here with him. | ” |
Shawn kept making comments about going against the idea of raising the shelter. But Jon was annoyed with Shawn's incessant complaining and called him out for his lack of work ethic, but Shawn didn't want to hear any of it and told Jon to back off and shut up, which only made Jon even angrier, leading to a shouting match between the two.
Sandra |
“ | I'm glad Jon put him in his place. And after that, what happened? Shawn practically put the whole shelter together. Maybe Shawn should get a clue that he's not anybody's buddy here; that he needs to get whatever has to happen done. He needs to make sure we win the challenge, or he's going home, and that's it. | ” |
Day 17[]
Day 18[]
Andrew |
“ | He claims he threw the chess-checker-water challenge. I think that's just nonsense and I think it's bad sportsmanship for him, the little bastard, to indicate that we didn't, fair and square, win that challenge. So I don't think they did throw it. But just for that little pissant to take that away from us, it's ridiculous. You know, he came here to ruffle some feathers, and he definitely did. And it concerned me from an immunity standpoint, because the most critical one coming up today, that he's causing dissension among the ranks. Let the games begin. Let's take the gloves off, and see what they're made of. Let's have some fun. | ” |
Challenges[]
Challenge: Ready, Aim, Fire
The two tribes must use cannons to hit four targets on the beach. The first tribe to hit all four targets wins reward.
Reward: Grill, spices, lobsters, steaks; loot one item from losing tribe; piece of treasure map
Winner: Drake
Challenge: Shoulder the Load
Three members of each tribe will have a pole across their shoulders. Each round, weight (20 lbs.) will be added to that pole. The decision about which tribe member gets the weight will be made by the other tribe. When the weight becomes too much to bear, the tribe member will drop the pole and be out of the challenge. The last person left standing wins immunity for their tribe.

Christa |
“ | (voting against Trish) You stabbed us all in the back. You have no idea how to play this game, but good try. (winks) See you later. | ” |
Jon |
“ | (voting against Rupert) Everybody's got a price, everybody's gotta pay, 'cause a million dollar man, always gets his way. | ” |
Sandra |
“ | (voting against Trish) I've always said you were a snake from Day 1. Um, you can't be trusted, so, um, goodbye, adiós. | ” |
Trish |
“ | (voting against Rupert) Rupert, I'm voting you out because I think you just have too much power with the other tribe, and it just seems to me that you are straddling both tribes. | ” |
Rupert |
“ | (voting against Trish) I cannot believe that you turned on me so quickly. Everybody in my tribe tells me that you want me out, and you lie right to my face. I can't take that. | ” |
Shawn |
“ | (voting against Trish) You know what? Game's over for you. It's my game now, so goodbye. | ” |
Final Words[]
Trish |
“ | I didn't see this coming at all, obviously. But I always knew that anything can happen. And so, I really never took anything for granted. Hats off to the Drake tribe. I think you guys are all great. I hope one of the Drakes end up winning the million dollars. Good for you guys, you kept a secret, and that's the beauty of this game-- you just never know what's going to happen and when it's going to happen. | ” |

Trivia[]
- In Jon Dalton's voting confessional for Rupert Boneham, he made a reference to "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase by quoting his most famous confessional, "everybody's got a price, everybody's gotta pay, 'cause a million dollar man always gets his way." A year later, Rupert would win a million dollars for being the most popular castaway in Survivor: America's Tribal Council.
