View notes and locked notes on iCloud.com
When you set up Notes with iCloud, your notes stay up to date on iCloud.com and every device with Notes turned on in iCloud settings.
The notes list contains the notes in the currently selected folder. Notes are listed by last-modified date, with the most recent note at the top of the notes list. The list shows the first few words of each note.
View a note
-
Go to icloud.com/notes, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary).
Select a note in the list.
You may need to select a different folder to see the note you’re looking for.
View and close locked notes
You can view notes you locked on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac where you’re signed in to the same Apple Account.
Go to icloud.com/notes, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary).
Do either of the following:
View locked notes: Select a locked note in the list, then enter the password you created for locked notes.
After you enter the password for one locked note, you can view other locked notes without reentering the password. The notes are locked again after a period of inactivity or when you close the browser window.
If you reset the Notes password using Notes on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, entering the new Notes password only lets you view locked notes that use the new password. If some of your notes use an older password, you must enter that password to view them.
Note: If you locked your notes with your Apple device’s passcode or login password, you can’t view them on iCloud.com.
Close locked notes: Click in the Notes toolbar.
To add a lock to a note, remove a lock from a note, change the password for locked notes, or reset the password if you forget it, use the Notes app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. See the Apple Support article How to lock or unlock notes on your iPhone or iPad or Lock your notes on Mac in the Notes User Guide.
