Obi-Wan Kenobi, born 57 years before the Battle of Yavin on Stewjon, is apprentice to Qui-Gon Jinn and has traveled on many missions with him. Both Jedi go to the rescue of Queen Amidala when her homeworld of Naboo is invaded by Trade Federation droid armies. Loyal, sharp-minded, and a promising negotiator, Obi-Wan is also an extraordinary warrior, becoming the first Jedi in a millennia to defeat a Sith Lord, Darth Maul, in combat. He later becomes Master to young Anakin Skywalker.
