C-3PO (See-Threepio) is a Protocol Droid built on the planet Tatooine by a 9-year old Anakin Skywalker. Augmented by parts taken from Watto's junkyard, the Droid appears almost skeletal with exposed wires and servos everywhere. Fluent in several million forms of communication, C-3PO has been given a fussy personality and often reacts with alarm. When Queen Amidala's landing party visits the Skywalker home during the blockade of Naboo, Astromech Droid R2-D2 meets C-3PO for the first time.
