A train was a ground vehicle that moved along rails or magnetic guides.
Trains were used to transport people and supplies across the planet of Coruscant.
During the Battle of Coruscant, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine was escorted by Shaak Ti and Stass Allie in a civilian maglev train to an underground shelter to escape General Grievous.
Trains were also used to by the Galactic Empire to transport prisoners and cargo across the spice-mine asteroid Kessel. The Alliance to Restore the Republic used hovertrains to ferry supplies and reinforcements to Chandrila's capital city during the Blockade on Chandrila.[1]
