A fourth season of The Mandalorian was written by Jon Favreau, confirming with CinemaBlend at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim that Ahsoka informed his writing for the season.[1] By February 2023, the season was already written.[2] After StarWars.com announced the film The Mandalorian and Grogu on January 9, 2024,[3] Deadline reported that season four of The Mandalorian was still in development.[4]
However, Din Djarin body double Brendan Wayne, when asked if a season four was coming, stated on March 6, 2024, that he was unsure if a season four was coming. All Wayne was certain of was that the movie was in the pipeline, although he believed it was for the best for Disney+ to continue with season four.[5]
