The droid used on Lothal
Sentry droids were droids that acted as sentries in various locations.[1]
During the Galactic Empire's occupation of Lothal, a model of sentry droid was deployed to patrol Imperial installations. The droid used on Lothal often operated in groups of three,[1] and was visually similar to the[2] observation droid used by the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars,[3] for they both sported a large, central red photoreceptor as well as an antenna.[1][2] However, the Imperial Lothal model had an additional built-in blaster with a barrel portruding from the droid's body, from which it was able to rotate around.[1]
In 2 BBY, multiple DT-series sentry droids were stationed on an Imperial class four container transport that drifted into a storm on Wynkahthu. The droids and the ship were destroyed during a skirmish with the Spectres, Hondo Ohnaka, and Azmorigan.[4]
