In 19 BBY during the Clone Wars, just prior to the Battle of Coruscant, The Confederacy of Independent Systems invaded the planet Tythe on the orders of Darth Sidious in order to draw the attention of Republic forces away from the impending strike at Coruscant, leading to a Republic counterinvasion.
