A Mon Calamari helmet was a type of helmet used by high-ranking Mon Calamari officers of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. It offered the wearer moderate protection and featured a built-in communications device. Thaneespi and Loci Rosen were known to have worn this type of helmet.

Behind the scenes

The Mon Calamari helmet was originally meant to be worn by Admiral Ackbar in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, but other Mon Calamari ended up wearing it in the film.
