Kamas (or belt-capes) were skirt-like armor accoutrements worn from the belt.[1] In the later days of clone trooper Phase I armor, Clone Commanders,[2] Clone Captains,[6] clone commandos of Clone Force 99,[7] and Advanced Recon Commandos[8] added blast-resistant kamas to their kits, along with other gear. A kama was also worn with Phase II armor.[2] Female members of the Mandalorian super commandos serving the Shadow Collective wore kamas as part of their standard armor.[3] The cold weather assault stormtroopers of the Galactic Empire later wore insulating kamas, as did First Order snowtroopers.[1] The Empire's coastal defender stormtrooper squad leaders wore kamas.[9]
