Huulia was a planet.[2] In 32 BBY,[3] the nacelle from a Huulian starfighter was among the junk stored in the scrapyard of the Toydarian Watto's junkshop in the city of Mos Espa on the planet Tatooine.[1] Huulia was the homeworld of Kit Valent, a pilot that perished flying for the Alliance to Restore the Republic's Rogue Squadron during the Battle of Hoth[2] in 3 ABY.[4]
Behind the scenes[]
In the current Star Wars canon, Huulia was first mentioned indirectly via its demonym in the 2016 reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations.[1] The planet was then directly mentioned in "Pilots of the Rebel Alliance," an entry in De Agostini's Star Wars Encyclopedia series[2] that was released on March 4, 2022.[5] The material in Complete Locations was reprinted[1] from the 2000 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Episode I, which was written by Kristin Lund and marked the first, albiet indirect, mention of the world in the Star Wars Legends continuity.[6] The first direct mention in Legends then occurred in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare, which was written by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart.[7]
