- Amidala hosts the Chommell sector summit for the leaders of other planets in the Chommell sector, which, unbeknownst to her, leads Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious to accelerate his plans regarding Naboo.[9]
- The Trade Federation invades Naboo.[1]
- Anakin Skywalker wins the Boonta Eve Classic, thus securing his freedom.[1]
- After 1,000 years operating in secret, the Sith make their presence known to the Jedi Order.[1]
- Senator Sheev Palpatine is elected Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic, replacing Finis Valorum,[1] thus beginning the downfall of the Galactic Republic.[8]
Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul face each other on Naboo in 32 BBY.
- The Battle of Naboo occurs:[1]
- The Trade Federation's occupation of Naboo is overthrown.[1]
- Darth Maul kills Qui-Gon Jinn, but Maul himself is then bested by Obi-Wan Kenobi.[1] Maul survives but is presumed dead.[10]
- Kenobi is promoted to the rank of Jedi Knight. Anakin Skywalker is assigned as Kenobi's Padawan learner.[1]
- Doctor Nuvo Vindi disappears and does not resurface for another ten years.[11]

- Yaddle and Dooku have a duel on Coruscant, with Dooku being victorious and completely falling to the dark side of the Force.[12] Dooku replaces Maul as Sidious's Sith apprentice.[13] Dooku is given the name of Darth Tyranus.[14]
- Dooku hires the bounty hunter Jango Fett to serve as the clone template, the Kaminoans began creating clone troopers on Kamino.[14][15]
- The first generation of clone troopers are created on Kamino.[16]
