Darth Vader was the name of a male Human who served the New Galactic Empire as the General of its armed forces. A highly decorated officer, he possessed a lot of scarring on his face, and also had his left eye replaced with a cybernetic, giving off a deep red hue.[1]
Alongside Governor Crispin Hoedaack and their ally in the Supreme Tribunal, Vantos Coll, General Vader had plotted to overthrow Emperor Cos Dashit, with their move depending on the outcome of the Aquilaean campaign. Aside from command over the Imperial Space Force and the Space Fortress, a deadly battle station, he was apparently granted carte blanche to use the Knights of the Sith to eliminate any Jedi-Bendu involved. Suspecting that General Luke Skywalker had survived the self-destruction of the rebel command post, General Vader tasked Prince Valorum with tracking him down, providing the Knight of Sith with full access to Imperial resources for his assignment.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Darth Vader was a character in the original 1974 draft for George Lucas's Star Wars. Unlike later incarnations of the cyborg commander, he was neither related to the main protagonist nor was he Force-sensitive, although he did to some extent command the Knights of Sith.[1]
