- "Aww. Who's the cute baby?"
"Blast it, Peeples, that's not a baby." - ―Peeples and Finial Bright, while helping an Anzellan
Anzellans were a diminutive sentient species. The tiny beings often took up tech jobs such as the droidsmith Babu Frik[1] and the slicer Ginntho.[8] One also worked on a Solar Array 22-X station as a crewmember in the Hetzal system during the High Republic Era.[7] The Anzellan engineer Shug Drabor designed the Halcyon during that same era.[9] A crew of Anzellan droidsmiths operated on Nevarro during the time of the New Republic.[10] Their size was comparable to infant members of other species.[7] The eyes of Anzellans had floating corneal micro-lenses that could see microscopic details.[1] Anzellans also had purple blood.[7]
Behind the scenes[]
In the original idea for Babu Frik, his species had been used to repair Star Destroyers for generations due to their small size. Because of this, they had been able to discover a weakness in the First Order's technology, and built a "sabotage brick" that could disable the entire First Order across the galaxy.[11]

(backup link) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas and Star Wars Galaxy Map, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. This article treats Anzell as one such homeworld with regard to the Anzellan species.
