- "Those analysis droids you've got over there only focus on symbols. I should think you Jedi would have more respect for the difference between knowledge and wisdom."
- ―Dexter Jettster
Analysis droids,[1] also called information droids,[2] were droids in use to analyze data. Analysis droids saw use in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, where they assisted Jedi with their assignments.[1] Although the Jedi owned a large number of analysis droids, they could be found far from the towering walls of the Jedi Temple. In hospitals across the galaxy, analysis droids analyzed medical data, particularly in the field of infection control. Their sensitive photoreceptors and imaging scanning were invaluable for examinations, and the droids made initial assessments to determine if patients needed to be seen by a specialist. During the Clone Wars, many analysis droids worked in the Chancellor Palpatine Surgical Reconstruction Center on Coruscant, where they streamlined the processing of injured clone troopers, who arrived in large numbers almost constantly.[3]
