Biography[]
- "Follow me, compatriots!"
- ―L3-37 calls out to 1MSE-KUP and the other droids in the control room

1MSE-KUP24 (bottom) was one of many droids that worked in the spice mines of Kessel.
1MSE-KUP24 was the designation[2] of a KUP24 messenger droid[1]that was one of many droids forced to work in the spice mines controlled by the criminal Pyke Syndicate on the planet Kessel during the reign of the Galactic Empire.[2] In 10 BBY,[5] the messenger droid was present in the mines' control center while a group of Crimson Dawn–affiliated criminals disguised as enslavers met there with Pyke Administrator Quay Tolsite in an attempt to steal a shipment of coaxium.[4]
During the meeting, the criminal Qi'ra killed Tolsite while her accomplice Tobias Beckett shot each of the Pyke sentinels and Mining Guild supervisors present in the room. With the room now under the infiltrators' control, the criminal droid L3-37 removed the restraining bolt from the enslaved droid DD-BD, who in turn began removing the restraining bolts from the other droids in the room. 1MSE-KUP24 whizzed around the floor of the control room[4] at top speed[3] as the droids were freed,[4] after which he joined the other droids and the organic slaves in revolting against the Pykes,[3] creating a distraction that allowed the criminals to escape with the coaxium.[4]
Characteristics[]
1MSE-KUP24 had gray and black plating with orange detailing and a black sensor.[2] He was modified in order to work in the mines on Kessel and showed all the joy that a mechanical being of his type was capable of expressing when liberated on Kessel.[3]
