The Minecraft x SpongeBob DLC is a DLC for the Minecraft: Bedrock Edition Marketplace. It was released on July 26, 2022. It was first announced during the 2022 "Minecraft Now" live event.
An update to the DLC was released on April 26, 2023, adding notable features such as the Flying Dutchman's ship and Eugene H. Krabs and Pearl Krabs' house.
The DLC features a map and skins based on SpongeBob SquarePants. It also uses custom textures though a usable texture pack outside of the map is not included in the DLC.
Description[]
"Are you ready, kids? It's time to join your favorite under-the-sea chums on an adventure in Minecraft! Visit Bikini Bottom and help make today the BEST DAY EVER for SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, and friends. Complete with 40 skins. Created by Spark Universe"
Gameplay[]
SpongeBob asks the player if they can help make today the "best day ever," and the player embarks on nine missions for Bikini Bottom. After the player completes all nine missions, they are congratulated at a party.
Missions[]
- Patrick asks you to go to Glove World where the Fiery Fist O' Pain will need to be repaired before riding it.
- Squidward asks you to find parts around his house and craft a musical instrument, after it is built it will need to be played in front of Bikini Bottom residents.
- Sandy asks you to help finish work on her rocket by doing various Redstone related tasks.
- Mr. Krabs will ask you to help work at the Krusty Krab, giving Krabby Patty's to customers.
- Plankton and Karen will pretend to ask for help before trapping you in the Chum Bucket, after which you will need to escape.
- Pearl will ask for help her job of delivering Pizzas to people in Bikini Bottom.
- Mrs. Puff will ask for your help in a race at Rock Bottom in order to win a Boatmobile.
- The Flying Dutchman will ask you to shoot cannons off of his ship, which is parked in the Kelp Forest.
- Kevin C. Cucumber ask you in to collect a few Jellyfish in Jellyfish Fields.

Earlier in 2024, an add-on based on the DLC was first announced via a post on the Minecraft Official Website. It was released on August 20, 2024. The add-on features mobs, blocks, furniture, items, and vehicles themed after the series.

- This DLC pack was accidentally released on July 19, 2022 on the Minecraft Marketplace, but it could not be purchased, and was taken down soon afterwards.[citation needed]
- In the original listing, the pack was stated to have 37 skins instead of the 40 it would later have when officially released.
There are multiple same incidentals. Three Incidental 41s are seen.
- The incidentals are duplicated multiple times during the DLC.
- During the Squidward concert scene, the incidentals are duplicated as there are three Incidental 41s.
Episode references[]
- There are multiple references to the series in the DLC. The plot for the DLC is a reference to "Best Day Ever" due to the plot also being a "best day ever" plot.
- An official Twitter post by user Spark Universe uploaded a GIF of the DLC pack. The animation is a reference to the Squidward looking out the window meme from "That Sinking Feeling."
- The official SpongeBob SquarePants Instagram account posted a animation of the DLC pack. The animation is a reference to the Imagination meme from "Idiot Box."
- In the Krusty Krab minigame, a bunch of anchovies enter the Krusty Krab for Krabby Patties, referencing the anchovy flood scene in "Help Wanted."
