Slime Science Resources are resources used in Slime Science after buying The Lab for 10,000 . They are responsible, along with Beatrix, for creating utilities, warp tech, decorations and curios.
The most common and most reliable method of obtaining them is by creating and placing Extractors; the Drill, the Apiary and the Pump. Better extractors last longer and produce more resources with higher chances of getting rarer loot. But they can also be obtained by trading with other Ranchers in the Range Exchange, by popping certain wild and all snared Gordos, and non-renewably from Treasure Pods. Resources range from Common to Rare.
One thing to note is that there are also location exclusive resources which require specific extractors to be obtained; Wild Honey is found in The Moss Blanket with an Apiary, Indigonium is found in The Indigo Quarry with a Drill and Deep Brine is found in The Dry Reef with a Pump. The Glass Desert is unique in that it has three location exclusive resources (Pepper Jam, Silky Sand, and Glass Shard), one for each extractor. All of these resources are Common where they can be obtained.
For the best chance of getting Rare resources, it is recommended to use the best extractors you can use, and avoid using specific extractors in areas that can obtain location-specific resources.
The cap for resources in the refinery is 999 of any resource.

Resources in Slime Rancher 2
Slime Science Resources can be found randomly scattered across Rainbow Island. Every resource has its own spawning locations placed throughout the map. However, players will only encounter them in specific regions, similar to that of the first game. Gadgets are no longer required to acquire these resources, instead being replaced with the Resource Harvester.
Upgrades for the Vacpack now require Newbucks , and resources to obtain. This makes their purpose more important towards the start of the game. The Refinery and Fabricator are immediately available upon the start of a new game, allowing the player to build gadgets and decorations sooner than before. Most of the materials from the first game made a return, with only a few new resources being added so far.
