Daijiro Itakura (板倉 大二郎 Itakura Daijirō) is a High School 2nd year regular for Osaka representative Toyotama High School and plays for them at the Nationals. He is first seen with the rest of his team on the train to Hiroshima that stopped off at various cities on the way there. On the train he is with his team as Minori Kishimoto gets into almost a tussle with the Shohoku team.

Itakura is a Point Guard and with a height of 183cm. Despite just started play as a point guard since high school, his best asset is his ability to score from 3 point shooting which described by Shohoku High's bench warmer as a beautiful shots and very contrast to his face.
