The latest restaurant to join the brunch fray is Padrecito, which is now serving a menu of Mexican-inspired treats like polenta-plantain hotcakes, bacon quesadillas with a fried egg, and a huevos rancheros casserole with Oaxaca cheese and braised kale. At the bar, expect ginger-beer sangria and a chipotle Bloody Mary, plus tacos and enchiladas for those who'd rather skip through to lunch. It goes down Saturday and Sunday from 11 am-2:30 pm, and as a bonus, Friday as well (11:30 am-2:30 pm). [EaterWire]
