Conflict of Interest
My muse and I often have totally different Ideas of what
needs to be done.
Case in point: I want to keep adding to the ‘series’ of
blind/half blind watercolor faces I’ve been working on.
To that end I sat
down and started drawing faces in my journal but……they weren’t working.
They didn’t have that ‘wonky’ quality I was looking for.
And the more I drew the less wonky they were!
And the more I drew the less wonky they were!
Kinda’ brings to mind that saying “You have to kiss a lot of
frogs before you find a Prince’.
I guess you have to draw a lot of faces before you get one that works! LOL

I Don’t Like Him, I Don’t Dislike Him
Like always I think I need some time and distance to ‘assess’.
But I’m calling him DONE.

I’m So Excited……
And I just can’t hide it!
We’re getting our very own Waffle House! Right here in River
City!!!!
No more driving all the way over to the interstate for scrambled
eggs and waffles!!!!
I don’t care what anybody says, there’s nothing better than
a good ‘ole greasy southern breakfast!
I know, I’m easily amused…..LOL

He's the BEST
Husband noticed since I bought my table top easel (50% off all easels at Michael's in case you want one) I was a bit crowded on my workbench.
So he put up shelves for me!
He's the best!!!
And because I know you want a closer look at what's on my new easel.....
A page in what has become my 'I don't really care how it turns out' journal.
It started out with splotches of bright inks but I didn't like where it was going so I gessoed over it and used one of the blind contour faces I drew as an exercise in the Yellow class.
Then just played around with my Inktense blocks in a sort of 'dry brush' technique.
I wasn't sure if I liked the outcome but she has grown on me!

Liar, Liar Pants on Fire!
My whole life my father told me he was multilingual! He
claimed he spoke Latin, French, Italian, German as well as English and a ‘smattering’
of other languages that helped him negotiate his way around Europe during the
war.
Now I find THIS!
In his OWN HANDWRITING!
If he were still alive I would SO call him out on this!!!!!
LIAR, LIAR PANTS ON FIRE!
This was a little newspaper he and some of his buddies put out for their unit.
