Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 32 servings

  • 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained

  • 1 (8 ounce) jar salsa

  • 1 cup chopped sweet onion

  • 1 cup cubed Cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup chopped green bell pepper

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro

  • 1 medium tomato, diced

  • 1 small jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced

  • 1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning

Directions

  1. Mix black beans, salsa, onion, Cheddar cheese, bell pepper, cilantro, tomato, jalapeno, and taco seasoning together in a medium bowl. Serve immediately.

Cook's Note:

You can use 1 chopped avocado in place of the Cheddar cheese. The jalapeno and cilantro are optional.
