Ibiributsu is a stocky man with thick eyebrows, a prominent nose and a short beard. He wears a spiked leather hat resembling an aviator hat, spiked shoulder guards lined with fur, and dark belted pants.[1]
Personality[]
Ibiributsu is a cruel individual who enjoys taunting and picking on prisoners who are in a weak state. The slightest hint of backtalk can enrage him to the point of violence and threats of punishment.[1]
Abilities and Powers[]
Ibiributsu's authority as a prison guard allows him to punish prisoners for talking back to him with amputation or death.[1]
At the Prisoner Mine, Ibiributsu exchanged Hyougoro's meal ticket for a single kibi dango. When Hyougoro lamented the amount, Ibiributsu angrily hit him with a club. He was soon shocked to discover that the prisoners Eustass Kid and Monkey D. Luffy had managed to earn over 500 tickets. Later, when the duo were questioned by Vice Warden Dobon, Ibiributsu reminded them of the rules and punishments for breaking them.[1]
Trivia[]
His name is likely derived from ibiru (いびる) meaning "to pick on", and butsu (打つ) meaning "to strike".
