Tidal Fools is a 4-Player and Duel coin minigame from Mario Party DS. The name is a pun on "tidal pools".

The minigame takes place on a beach with some seashells.

Gameplay

In this minigame, players gather coins that have been left behind by the ocean's waves. When the waves splash down, the players must move to avoid them. Any player caught by the waves will have their character stunned and render them unable to pick up the coins left behind.

Sometimes, the waves will leave behind Red Coins that are worth five regular coins. This process repeats until the 30 seconds are up.

If a player gets at least one coin, their character will perform their victory animation. Otherwise, their character will perform their losing animation.
