Just Dance 2017 is the new edition of the Just Dance series of video games which are dedicated to dancing to a variety of different tracks and are released on a bunch of different consoles on an annual basis, with this edition being released for 2017. As well as being freshened up with over 40 different music tracks which are listed below, this edition marks the first time that a video game from the series had been released for the Nintendo Switch console, and was part of the new console's line-up. Interestingly enough, Ubisoft had chosen to continue to release the video game for the old sixth-generation Nintendo Wii console, despite it being long discontinued since late 2013, and have even repeated this for the game's successors, Just Dance 2018, 2019, and 2020.
The game has a selection of six different modes to play, as well as bolstering its music track roster with loads of new music tracks launched in 2016/17. The game otherwise sticks to the same principles held by the series, in which players have to mimic the actions of the dancers on the screen by moving the remotes around in the necessary actions, and listen to the music simultaneously.
