Flying Warriors (also called Hiryu no Ken II: Dragon no Tsubasa) is a game software for NES released by Culture Brain on February 1991.

Story[]

A long time ago, when the world was filled with the two powers of Light and Dark, Demon World's overlord Demonyx led his soldiers in black armor and began a battle to conquer the heavens. Haven was saved by the victory of the hero Dragonlord, and Demonyx was sealed away by the power of Mandara, but Demonyx left behind a prophecy: "When the Red Star comes, I will surely revive. The Dragonlord sent five Flyng Warriors to Earth to stop Demonyx's return. Rick Stalker, a young man, was training in the mountains of China.

Gameplay[]

A Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Action Role-Playing Game released by Culture Brain in 1990. Transformation, law power, and other elements are added. The storyline has been greatly enhanced with the addition of five Flying Warriors. The scrolling direction is not fixed, but can be changed freely. A level system was adopted. This time, you can get the password even if the game is not over. There is a "beginner" level with a low difficulty level, and an "expert" level with a higher difficulty level, including an enemy whose true identity cannot be discovered until certain conditions are met. The true ending can only be seen by clearing the Expert mode.

Reception[]

Some major characters later appeared in the North American versions of Hiryū no Ken Gaiden and Hiryū no Ken S: Golden Fighter, known as Fighting Simulator: 2-in-1 Flying Warriors and Ultimate Fighter. Rick Stalker and his mentor Gen also appeared as cameos in several titles in the Super Chinese series, also by Culture Brain. A manga adaptation based on the game was translated and published in the early issues of GamePro magazine.
