Extreme Co., Ltd. is a publisher based in Japan known for being the modern holding company for Masaya Games, the successor to Nippon Computer Systems. The company was founded in 2005.
History[]
In 2007, Extreme started to manage Masaya Games for the Wii Virtual Console.
The Masaya Games brand name was transferred to Extreme in November 2014.[1][2][3] Extreme maintains the Masaya Games library through rereleases including the Virtual Console and Project Egg
In May 2022, Extreme established Dragami Games from former members of Kadokawa Games and was transferred the rights to 15 of Kadokawa's games in July of that year. This included games from Grasshopper Manufacture, Experience and the God Wars series.[4] Also in 2022, they acquired SAS Co., Ltd., a contract developer.
