Cat Quest is an open world action role-playing game for the Nintendo Switch. It originally released as an eShop game in 2017, but received a retail release in 2018. The game is populated by cats instead of people.
Gameplay[]
The player plays as a cat in an action role-playing game. The game is entirely played in the overworld. All the enemies are fought with no transition from the overworld and the villages are all interacted with on the outside. The player will rest outside when arriving at an inn. The player can obtain a wide variety of helmets, hats and masks as well as clothes to customize their character. These can give different stat boosts.
The combat is played in real-time with the player needing to dodge enemy attacks and slash quickly when they leave an opening. The player also learns a selection of powerful spells to mix in with combat.
