Blaze the Cat is a character from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, who comes from an alternate dimension. She is the defender of the Sol Emeralds, the counterpart to the Chaos Emeralds, and usually has to defend them from Eggman Nega. Blaze is Pyrokinetic, which means, she can harness and control the power of fire, hence her name. Blaze is also is royal in her own dimension as a princess, but she is sometimes called "Queen Blaze the Cat".
Like in the official Sega of America Sonic mini site, Sonic Central. Interestingly, most of Blazes appearances have been on Nintendo consoles, with the exception of Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). Her first appearance was in Sonic Rush, which was also her first Nintendo appearance. In the game, she forms friendships with Cream the Rabbit, and Sonic the Hedgehog. She has a super form, known as Burning Blaze.
Appearances[]
Blaze is a lavender and violet-furred, anthropomorphic cat with gold eyes, a small black nose and a white-furred muzzle. She has triangular ears with peach colored canals and a long tail with the end frayed and dark purple. Her fur is longer on each side of her head and sweeps slightly upwards. She has four plumes of hair with dark purple tips done up in a high ponytail by a red hair tie and an also red, oval gem on her forehead.
For attire, she wears a purple tailcoat with the bottom rim dark pink, a gold collar and white leggings. She also wears white gloves with fuzzy cuffs and high heeled, dark pink shoes with white stripes and fuzzy cuffs, like her gloves.
For the purpose of Extreme Gear racing, Blaze wears a purple catsuit with pink, white strapped boots. The suit also have yellow stripes over the chest, elbows and knee areas.

A princess charged with guarding the Sol Emeralds, Blaze comes from another dimension. She used to be a bit of a withdrawn loner -- it wasn't until she met Sonic and co. that she really opened up. She can brandish fire at will, and she can use the Sol Emeralds to change into Burning Blaze.
